Canadian politics consists mostly of powerful dominant parties who do more or less the same thing. Nothing is ever done. The federal Liberal Party had a majority government from 1992 until 2002 (I think it was.), which meant they could do whatever they wanted. Apparently what they wanted was to steal public money and sell out to the Americans. They then lost the majority. The federal Conservative Party (Which is an amalgamation of several old parties, including the old Conservative Party) now has a minority government. What they are trying to do is sell out to the Americans, only much faster, as well as copy bad American policies.
There is also the less powerful New Democratic Party, which always has some seats in Parliment. They are socialists, and they mostly bargain. The Bloc Québecois is the federal branch of the sovreignist (Quebec Separatist) movement, which more or less sits around and bitches.
In Québec, there is the independant Québec Liberal Party, which is a status quo party, and the Parti Québecois, who are socialist sovreignists.
In the last election, the Action Démocratique, a sovreignist right wing/anti-immigration borderline racialist party, made major gains, surpassing the old established PQ and becoming the official opposition. It is now a real player in provincial politics. This is also the first time in 120 years that Québec has had a minority government.
There are no real Nazi Parties. The hate laws would make it more or less illegal. The current Prime Minister, however, unknown to most, used to be the president of the "National Citizens Coalition", who, among other fucked up things, used to advocate all-white immigration legislation. They have quietly dropped the suggestion.
