Hate to nitpick, but is Surly's hat surgically attached to his head?

Dude you're supposed to remove your hat as a sign of respect as you go into any house or building.

The hat returned for most pictures... :roll:

I take my hat often generally only when I am comfortable. So... the initial meetings (with pictures following) generally seem me in my hat...
