I have a tech ?.....I would like to cut and paste a pic off of my pic files and put it in a note,..how would I do that?

assuming it's not breaking the CR, the first step is to get it remote-hosted and then put it in an HTML image bracket on the note.

so it'd look something like this

<img src=http://www.westlovesyou.com/pics/toolsylflag.jpg>

for example.

That's not a real website, by the way, but was only for example.

I think that the cantr gods would prefer you have them host it though, but yeah. You can always host your own I suppose, they'll just cry and scream.

Actually, I believe Jos would prefer (correct me if I'm wrong) to be hosted by Cantr because websites sometimes die out and you lose the image or to folter images so that people don't bring in bad things or even copyrighted things and get Cantr into trouble.

I'm not sure where to send these images though but I would try programming department and they will get back to you on what to do with the images.

I only host my images on my server because it's easier to do, and it won't shut down without my knowledge. But is that okay?

Richard is right, all images should be mailed to programming@cantr.net so that we can upload it to our server and only files from our own server should be included in notes. For the reasons Richard states.

So would I change all my notes with images? Or what?

Well, just leave them as they are, but if you add new pictures to notes, send them to programming first ... We'll work out later what to do with existing notes ...

So I would mail the image to cantr and then they will give me a HTML code to put in the pic and then the image will be there, correct.

Hey, Thanks guys,Now one more; You cannot type over these pics can you. What Im gettin at is I wanna make a chess game(Somthing to do when its just you and one other person in a room building something)and put it in a note to play. I also saw, what I think is a smiple chess program
on another site that you can download. Is there someway I can get that into a note and skip all the HTML work it would take to make this thing.

Geeze. If I would have known we were "supposed" to send them I would have been. I thought it was a choice or something. LoL!!! Like if you didn't know how to get the image into a note. >.> *Cuts down on images* That will make a lot of work for people no? o_o;;
