Agreed. Make it so.

But Captain Picard, are you sure that opening a rift in the time-space continuum will offer us a stable entrance and exit into Borg territory thus allowing us to fire Photon Torpedos into their Central Matrix and ending the Borg threat once and for all (for the third time)?

Nerd.

P.S. Voyager is better!

uumm, sorry but no. Jean Picard was the best damn captain the starfleet ever had to offer, except maybe for Kirk.

"Tea. Earl Grey. Hot."

I mean, come on. I could beat that guy up.

And don't worry, Nalaris. The rift in the space-time continuum will be undone with a reverse tachyon pulse.

Okay, Picard is cool and all and he's a great captain when he's in his element, but the man is a diplomat and that talking things out just doesn't work there. Also they don't have Earl Grey in the Delta Quadrant so he wouldn't last five minutes, let alone be able to rough it for seven years without any support from the rest of the Federation. (Of course he wouldn't need to, because there'd be a dues ex machina or Mary Sue (aka Wesley Crusher) would solve the problem and they'd be back home before the end of the episode.)

Plus Janeway's got the better crew, hands down. (The only ones that really stood out for me in TNG were Warf and Data...if the writers had just had Q drop them off on the bridge of Voyager I would have never needed to watch TNG ever again.)

Uh...anyway, like I said, I can't believe you nerds are talking about Star Trek! I never watch it myself.

Okay, I will admit that Picard is probably the most awesome captain ever, and probably tougher than I gave him credit for in my last post. ("There are four lights!") But this is probably biased by my love of Patrick Stewart in general. Or at least his voice.

I still feel like Voyager was the better show overall though. I try watching TNG today and IMHO it hasn't aged very well...though my favorites are still as awesome as ever.

I like kirk in the films... and some Next Gen is quite good, and First Contact is also good... but one thing that peeves me about next gen:

WHO PUTS A COUNCILLOR NEXT TO A CAPTAIN ON A SHIP!!!!!!!!!!

And also, Voyager is a better ship than TNG Enterprise, isn't it?

P.S Not that i feel strongly about it *Nerd in denial*

You know who sucks? Sisko. If it wasn't for the fact that Dax was so damn hot, DS9 had no other redeeming qualities (the only ST series I've ever stopped watching). I mean, they had to import Warf and start a war to make the show interesting, and it still wasn't :(

DS9 was "Star Trek goes Soap Opera"

TNG is by far the best, of the lot. Not only did it have a great cast, but it actually had intelligent storylines that dealt with larger concepts than just the relationships between the characters...

Jean-Luc has to be by far the best Star Trek character, ever, and what else would you expect from Patrick Stewart :)

I started with DeepSpaceNine and later watched Voyager. Now they haven't been airing here for a while. SubTV shows some older series that's really cheesy with the clothes and all, but I can't watch it because we don't have cable.

I have to agree with you about Jean Luc. Q was the best character on that series though
