There's definite improvements to the units and siege equipment, and it eliminates the Roman factions, which it says are pretty much made up.

Aah I did my research on that too. It turns out it is indeed made up, appart from the senate actually rulling the Rome-Region. There is however a centre of truth.. Because around the time of the expension there were 3 big families who basically ruled the entire Senate, fighting over the two consul-spots. They were not, however, Brutii, Julii and Scipii haha

Anyway.. I'm not sure I want to see 1 rome anymore.. The other Roman Factions are the only ones capable of putting up SOME resistance..

Then again.. I'm fed up with the game it is right now. Let's download.

Well, if you want a challenge, don't play Rome! Any of the barbarian factions will be a large challenge, as would some of the poorer eastern factions. Cavalry kicks ass, so pick a faction with limited horse units for a greater challenge.

Rant: I have been sick for what seems like forever. I'm on round three...THREE....of antibiotics in just the last 2 months. I'm so sick of popping pills and still feeling icky. It's almost Christmas...can I please just be well long enough to take my kids to the park on the bikes they're getting on the 25th? Please? Just one day. Is that really too much to ask?

Well.. The problem is the Gauls, Spain, Dacian, Thracians and Germania all have ownage superinfantry.. (Chosen Warriors), the poor eastern ones (Armenia, Scythia) all got cav or at least 1 uberunit... I played BArb invasion with the western empire, that was quite a bit of a challange, but still not enough. So Armenia in the normal Rome... Still not good enough.. Egypt is too rich, Seleucids too (and their scythed chariots own), pontus are too strong in numbers... Even Numidia ownes the shit out of Rome when I play them!
Maybe the game is just badly AI-Human balanced...
