@Mello - skimming this quickly, I would think the coughing and mucus buildup is chronic irritation from whatever you had previously. If that's the case (if the mucus is coming up clear), there's nothing a doctor can do about it. You just need to wait it out. I once coughed for a month after overcoming a bad chest cold.

hmm...i havent paid that much attention, but i will next time i cough some up i guess.

and yipes...-so- unfun. ive never had this happen before, and cough syrup doesnt help really, and its just plain old annoying.

I've been on my third doctor's visit and 3rd set of prescriptions. I've been sick since the 27th of October. I really can't wait till this is gone. This trip i was told that I have Bronchitis. Up front i had to take like 8 pills total of different things. After an hour i'm starting to feel pretty okay, but now I'm starting to feeling the side effects of the drugs.

Previously, I felt a little phlemy, but I wasn't coughing anything up. That was from a sinus infection which i had to take antibiotics for.

They shouldn't even be prescribing antibiotics for sinus infections now.

I did hear from a nurse friend, that she also often has sinus infection and gets antibiotics for it as well.

At the rate bacteria are becoming immune to antibiotics, they predict nothing will work by 2050, or that antibiotics will be like chemotherapy - so potent that they damage the body also.

Yes there's a lot to be about that over here, mostly because of the use of anti biotics on animals like chickens, I believe.

They put antibiotics in animal feed. It's a major culprit, but over-prescribing by physicians is also another major culprit.
