The more older I am, less I need sleep.
"The day was young and fresh, and yet he felt bone-tired, as if he'd fought all night. The older he got, the less sleep Ser Barristan seemed to need. As a squire he could sleep ten hours a night and still be yawning when he stumbled out onto the practice yard. At three-and-sixty he found that five hours a night was more than enough." - ADwD, GRRM, p. 784

Thought: I saw a friend out the door, then turned and ran for the bathroom. Stopped mid-dash and turned around because, "Oh, no! I almost forgot that I have to make goat noises at her!" So yeah, that was one of those rare moments when I understood why people call me odd. (But, really, I think she would have been disappointed at the lack of goat noises.)

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
@Indigo: You shouldn't stress much if you only sleep 3-4 hours before having your sleep broken. Despite what's drilled into you by parents and teachers and society, expecting a solid 8 is ridiculous. Humans are actually not biologically made to sleep that way. In fact, majority of people sleep 2-4 hour bursts before waking up, and its not unnatural to be up for half hour to two hours before being able to fall asleep.
The problem is, people are so set on this magical mystical 8 hours that whenthey wake after only 3 they get anxious, etc, when they can't fall right back asleep. Its actually more helpful to just be calm in thhat wake time and do some nice thinking or a quiet activity.

+1 on Rebma. I sleep very little, and don't care. When I'm tired, I sleep. If not, I play cantr
Every muscle in my back aches. Did 7 hours of yard work yesterday to avoid getting a $200 fine, and it's still not done. Wish my kids would be a little more helpful.
New neighbor moved in. Yay! Seems like a nice guy.
Doug, Nice kilt.
And I just HAVE to get a post on page 613 (gold star to anyone who figures out why), so I hope this makes it.

I know, Rebma. Each individual has their own needs regarding sleep. I wouldn't worry much if, with 3-4 hours of sleep, I didn't get up this tired. The problem is not just the hours I sleep, but that I don't get the rest I need.
@gejyspa: Some stretching should help a little. Pity you're not closer. My best patients are those who over-work themselves doing house stuff

Making tortellini today. Don't expect me to be on today; my dad's literally trying to wrench my arm off while I type, so obviously I'm not allowed to.

Probably not. But he was putting it into an armbar and twisting it and stuff. I managed to break free (which probably means he wasn't trying very hard), and he went away, and then my mom started calling.
I've had to leave every twenty minutes to go blow my nose. At least now the allergy medication seems to be taking effect. Just in time to start the second shift in less than two hours.

Woke up feeling like my back had been broken...large amount of pain, tingling in my toes. Was thinking it might be a good idea to go to the chiropractor today for an adjustment to see if that helps then I remember that today is a holiday and they are probably closed. fml
