Deciding between stay at home this weekend, leaving the days pass through, doing nothing... or travel alone...

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
My phone really doesn't like the forums. I spent the last hour or so complaining on the IRC because of it. Cleared my cache, cookies, saved passwords... finally restarted my phone, which (after freezing a few times initially) worked. Now it's just slow.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Just got back from some time in Florida with limited access to the intertubes (my wife let me use her iPad a couple of times, but no way I could pry either of my oldest sons' laptops out of their fingers, and the internet connection was sporadic at the hotel, and I can't type efficiently with non-full-stroke keyboards.) As a result, I may have typed like five whole sentences into Cantr.
Further minuses: It rained every single day we were there. "Sunshine State", my Aunt Fanny!
Also, my aged father (visiting with whom was the main purpose of this trip) was very much....not coherent.
On the plus side, we did meet up with two of my late brother's gaming group (he also used to live down there), so we (me and my five kids) got to play two new-to-us games (we still haven't played all of my brother's board games that we were the inheritors of, but my number three son has finally finished cataloging them (a project he decided to do this summer), so I can confidently say there are exactly 271 of them. (Yes, that is not a typo). No telling how many hundreds may have been lost when he stopped paying rent on his storage locker many years ago.

In general, "yes". In specific, "no" (well, that's not exactly true. He does have "Justice League of America Monopoly")
(How's that for a smart-alecky answer?)
But more towards the former than the latter in general, I guess. (But not really. Think more "Eurogames"). Anyway, assuming the following link works for you, you can see the whole list here (letters after the game name simply refer to which plastic storage bin it is occupying).

Those would make a decent amount of cash on ebay for sure.
(depending of condition of course)

Oh, we're not interested in selling. We're a gaming family. OTOH, his extensive collection of Doc Savage paperbacks, we have zero interest in keeping. Any fans out there?

I'm so tired of working my ass off to do the right thing only to get punished while irresponsible slackers get all the breaks and then some. It's tempting to say screw it and go buy everything I can't afford then let the government bail me out.

They won't bail you out, you're not a financial institution.

You, lady in the car, you have no idea what seeing you arrive in that vehicle has done to me as a player. I wasn't aware it had been named that. I feel awesome, but sad because there's really no one left who can tell the story about that, is there? I wonder how long before you all change the name now.

True, but I can still declare bankruptcy, keep my unaffordable house as my foreclosure case is bounced through federal hoops and red tape, get on welfare so I don't have to buy my own food, maybe even fake a disability so the gov't gives me benefit paychecks, etc etc.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
So, I'm back in Florida.
Getting out of the car was like diving headfirst into an overheated swimming pool.
I already miss the mountains.
But, I missed Florida more, so.
I ended up taking my nap in Georgia.
Now I'm high on candy.
Trying to get to sleep tonight will be interesting.
