Really?

I don't know how well that would work around where I live. Once you start threatning people, your livel to get stabbed. People tend to overeact.

Unless you're in dispute with arabs, in which case, it's when the threats stop that you get scared. I've always found those guys to be smarter int that respect.

See? I can turn ANYTHING into something about myself! Did I not tell you?

Well, Schme, although that was a lot of violence that you got into, there wasn't much you could do about it, and I personally thought it was pretty brave to stand up for the kid.

I wish I could do something like that.

No, I am not. I did, however, grow up and still live in a predominantly desi, black african and arab community. Why?

Nice of you too say so.

I don't quite understand what you mean by the small writting though. I suppose I am just rather slow today.

I mean I wish I could have the courage to stand up for my friends.

Oh, I see. Well, it's not uncourageous too not stand up for your friends, as you say, if you could get yourself hurt or in trouble with the law. I would not call what I did courageous. Bear in mind that in the situation that I was in, even had started a fight and lost it terribly, I could have called upon people too protect me from any follow up and even exact revenge if I'd wanted, and so to say I was courageous in my actions could be argued.

See, I tell you, I cannot stop speaking about myself. I am doing it even now. I'm so damned full of myself, it is destressing.

But how do you mean, courage to stand up for your friends? What is it you are talking about? I'm afraid I've gotten confused yet again.

*chuckles* Well, in my case it's a lot less serious, meaning it wouldn't get me into a fight, but often many people I hear are talking about my other friends behind their back but I don't really stand up; for them.

Oh, I see. Well, It's very wise that you're not the kind who starts things, if you ask me (which I advise you not to do.) it would be best not too unless it is a really bad thing (something that could put them into disrepute or spreading dangerous lies and suchlike) as, and this is of course, as I say, just my opnion, it really doesn't matter what people who you or your friends do not care about say about them. But I could be wrong.

How?

Don't ever start a fight! That's what my dad tells me... He also says"Don't lose a fight or I will beat the s**t out of you!" What a great influence he is...
And I begged her give me horses
To trample down my enemy
So eager was my passion
To devour this waste of life
But she would not think of battle that
Reduces men to animals
So easy to begin
And yet impossible to end

Your father is a very wise man, and I mean that in all seriousness.

And as long as someone else started it, and you did what you could stop the commencement of violence, winning the fight will not make you look bad.

But fighting never a good idea. Very dangerous. And one must always remember, even if you can win a fight hand to hand, many people carry weapons which they are ready to use, or call upon friends to help them take you down, or both.

Fighting someone with a weapon is just terrible.

i.e. The forced following of forum etiquette by certain posters (who make unnecessarily long blank spaces in their posts). :)

There was absolutely no need for almost a page worth of blank space schme

It wasn't significant, anyways.

Yay, censorship!
