Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Perhaps, but we were never able to find what it was and we looked everywhere and our apartment is rather small (looks like this). We murdered a good amount with flypaper, but I figured we'd get more and more if baby flies were somewhere.
On another note, I'm having fun screwing with the floor plan organizer that I found on the website for our apartments when I went looking for a picture of the layout.

Why were you buying a plasma ball?

Because sometimes I want to use a lava lamp but it doesn't give enough light alone to see the keyboard, so I needed some sort of a light source to plug into the usb port because there are no free sockets near the computer desk.

Interesting. I have a CRT monitor which provides enough light to see my surroundings usually, and can allow me to read and write on white paper if I display a blank white screen.

Someone send me the most random, bizarre PM they can think of, please. I am bored out of my mind at work. Nothing has broken yet today and cantr is down. Boooo.
Also, I seem to have been struck abruptly with illness. It is lunch time, but the thought of food makes me want to retch.

Don't even mention food.
The cafeteria food here is....delicious.....but there are already two kids sick, throwing up and whatever, and I'm starting to feel like crap as well. They're in different rooms (one of them is actually going home today, and the workshop ends on Saturday afternoon), so I don't think it's anything we the students are doing. The next greatest common factor is the cafeteria food, so......

Air is the greatest common factor, then water, then your food source. Dont jump straight to the chef.

Okay, fine, you're right, Mojo. But it's literally the cheapest, easiest to mass produce, filled-with-preserves food they could get.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
When I see all this people complaining about the lack of antagonism and villains, I remember "The Architect", from The Matrix, explaining why the first versions of the matrix, didn't work.
( The Architect: The first Matrix was quite naturally perfect; it was a work of art, flawless, sublime. A triumph equaled only by its monumental failure. The inevitability of its doom is apparent to me now as a consequence of the imperfection apparent in every human being. Thus I redesigned it, based on your history, to more accurately reflect the varying grotesqueries of your nature. However, I was again frustrated by failure. I have since come to understand that the answer eluded me because it required a lesser mind, or perhaps a mind less bound by the parameters of perfection. Thus the answer was stumbled upon by another: an intuitive program, initially created to investigate certain aspects of the human psyche. If I am the father of the Matrix, she would undoubtedly be its mother.
Neo: The Oracle.
The Architect: Please. As I was saying, she stumbled upon a solution whereby nearly 99% of all test subjects accepted the program as long as they were given a choice, even if they were only aware of that choice at a near-unconscious level.)

@snick Well if it's filled with preservatives, it should probably be less likely to cause you problems. ;P
