Went away on its own. The random symptoms became less and less frequent until I just didn't notice them anymore.

Okay, the following just occurred to me while traveling down a road in my city. I figured out a way the city could have saved a bundle of cash. In this street, they spent a lot of money paving over the potholes, so that traffic could travel at a reasonable speed. But also in this street, they spent a lot of money building speed bumps so traffic wouldn't speed through this residential district (with signs -- "Caution: speed humps 15 MPH"). Ummm.. does anybody but me see the irony and wastage here? Why not simply KEEP the potholes, and post signs saying "Caution: potholes. 15 MPH" Problem solved without spending two piles of money to keep the status quo....

Actually... Potholes = personal injury hazards mainly for pedestrians and cyclists. Over here, they have to be filled in if they reached a certain length, width and especially depth. A simple sign will not be enough to absolve the local authority of liability. Therefore, cost of litigation vs cost of maintaining the roads... Guess which one is cheaper? Not to mention it is their duty to maintain the roads, and leaving potholes there would fall short of that.

Worked 08:00-22:15 yesterday. Back at work by 7:30 today and started off with a three hour meeting. I'm considering getting back to coffee again, after drinking tea for a couple of years.

I went back to coffee a week ago... After 13 years! Me the coffee hater! I swear, all last week, my heart was beating so fast and I was so hyper, I could barely focus on anything. Kept me awake at the right time, though.
I am still so pleased about yesterday, when it turned out that I didn't have to sue my ex boss. He is famous for his twisted behaviour - and I mean it. A certain website about the quality of the work of solicitors mention him a lot. Everyone in this county and the next one agree! Anyways, after a single phone message by me, he paid me -and- added extra money for the delay - at 25%pa! If I sued him I'd only get 8%! On top of that.... His letter said "I apologise". Now that truly is unheard of. I will frame that letter, and hang it on the wall. For all his failings as a boss and an individual, he is a great litigator, I think he taught me well. *smug grin*

@Doug: Mind games... A lot of them, until you turn up everyday, totally unsure of yourself even though you are damn good at your job. Why? Because he can.
