Precisely. If you value the world, then that's where your heart lies and what it desires. If you value God, then your heart lies with God and desires Him.

(Note: in this example, value = consider most important)

I'm so ungodly tired. I slept in way too late. Then stayed up too late. I was tossing and turning too much and decided to go to the spare bedroom to sleep. It took me awhile to fall asleep. Then at 5:30 AM my wife was being too damn loud getting ready. Bleeehhhhh

Today mothereffin' sucks!

Couldn't sleep last night because my damn brother was snoring all damn night. I finally passed out sometime after 1 which is apparently when he woke up because he couldn't sleep....

Woke up too damn early for school today. Have a test to study for this evening and my brain's refusing to cooperate.

Was epically late in getting to the apartment as the road I generally take was completely closed due to someone taking an 18-wheeler on some wicked flips. I'm an idiot and drove in ridiculous traffic to get to the next major highway to get to the apartment and it never, apparently, occurred to me to just take the damn toll road.

Leaving for school, get fucking pulled over by a cop for going 83 in 65 v.v Driving ten damn years, half of that illegally! and I get pulled over. *grumbles* I'm generally more aware to the presence of coppers and their fragging guns but, my mind's rattled. All I could think was that I was tired and some conversation I was having with carpool buddy. I didn't see the cop until it was too late.

So, got my first ticket. Just shy of being a felony, too. Just as I'm thinking that I need to pull a 40 so I can feel somewhat financially secure and now here goes the last $1.03 I have in my account.

F-M-L....

I need some poison. Alcohol and a cigarette, then I'll consider attempting to study again.

Rant: My adolescent psychology professor. She is rude, she is incompetent, she is late to class every day! She is incapable of using class time effectively. The semester is more than halfway over and we just had our second test, for which she didn't even finish lecturing because, again, she is incompetent and can't use time effectively. She can't even reliably make a test! She kept going on and on about how she'd made us this brand new test and spent sooo much time on it and gone over it probably 90 times so it'll probably be awesome and perfect. There were four bloody repeat questions on this test. And it's not even like it's a long test, so how did she miss them? Come on. My standards are pretty low, but even I have higher expectations than that. I can't take her seriously as an instructor and it's only the attendance policy (extra credit!) that keeps me going to class. Overall, the professors in this department are awesome, so I don't know where they went wrong with this one.

*grumble* Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go angrily write a manuscript for a stupid, useless research study.

Edit: Former roomie and I may or may not have been cruising through the ghetto earlier, playing 90s boy band music with our windows down.

So, my husband and I got in a fight last night and he told me that since I play Cantr I don't care about my family and that if I want to prove him wrong, then I won't play for a week. So...I am compromising and will only play when the kids are in bed and he and I aren't doing anything. I am very upset at him right now.

Sounds like the fight my wife and I had a few years ago about her constantly reading Twifanfic and being on Twitter rather than talking to me in the same room. Husbands don't like being ignored. Contrary to popular belief, men have emotional needs, too. *shrug* (I apologize if I sound like I'm piling on, CK).

Clearly if you have enough time to play cantr then he isn't taking the effort to attract your attention. I mostly play while at work and after my wife goes to bed. I'm normally awake 3-4 hours after her.

gejyspa is right though. I get moody and pissy when I'm ignored too long, but I'm also moody and pissy when i'm not left alone. I'm fickle.
