District Honor Band starts tonight in about an hour. Which means I won't be on Cantr as much (if I behave ), and my characters will be sleepy until sometime on Saturday afternoon (GMT -5). And probably some time after that because I'm having family over. Woohoo! Hooray. Um.

lmao Damnit, now I'm going to have "Chaaaaarrrrrrlieeee" stuck in my head the rest of the day. I work with a guy named Charlie and I sent that video all my coworkers....he hated it. That was a few years ago and every once in awhile someone will mention Candy Mountain. muaahahaha


Edit: I was not a cat person until I got the one I have now. Although, I don't think that really qualifies me as a cat person since she acts like a dog a lot of times. Maybe that's why I like her.

Ab psych was sposed to be really fun at TIP, but I was in Sym and Structure.
To this day, I smile whenever anyone mentions hedgehogs, water, or Jung.

I really enjoyed my abnormal psych class. I didn't retain a lot of the content, but the interaction between the professor and the class was great. I've yet to encounter them all, but I think it's safe to say that, overall, the psych department at my school is awesome. History and English, too.

The very first day of class in personality, my prof went on this rant about Father's Day. I'm already building up quite a quote library from him, but some of them lose their funny without his delivery.
"Now, that's just not fair, is it? If you're really smart, you should have a shitty life."
"We answer a question with a question. Classic Jewish move."
(In discussion of his wife being chair of another department for 14 years) "Am I bitter? No! Because I get to share in what she makes. But really, yes, because she isn't worth two-and-a-half times what I make! And you can tell her I said that. *grin*"
"You gals are already so hard and cynical! How are we supposed to take advantage of you?"

Rant: I'm giving some more serious thought to dropping my online class (and it's not too late for either a partial or full refund, not sure which. Plus, Chegg has a 21-day return policy, so I won't lose money on the textbook). It's not flexible enough to fit into my schedule as an online class should and, worse, there's no actual discussion or anything useful going on. Our "discussion" this week is to describe the dimensions of an age profile and discuss the importance of personal control in successful aging. This is information regurgitated straight from the book! There's nothing thoughtful to be added and how exactly are we supposed to respond "thoughtfully" to other students' posts of the exact same regurgitated information? Yeesh.
