In hindsight we referred to our Junior High as fraggle rock -- a group of amusing, little, hyperactive cartoon characters trying desperately to explore a new world that is too big for them while maintaining their own miniature society underneath it all....think about it a bit.

By the time you get to high school, attitudes are just a cute model of adulthood. Bullying decreases a bit, because you have to be nice to properly manipulate people into doing what you want, and politics begin to develop. From that point on, life is just high school with different motivating factors and political finesse. The plot is the same, just the elements change.
