The Mid-West has that kind of effect after awhile.

I don't know if it's in that book or not but a theory is that it is an evolutionary trait. You have to have one person in the group unable to concentrate on picking berries to be able to say "Hey. Doesn't the grass move just like that when... Aaa... IT"S A CHEETA. RUN!".

I'm that person. I knew I had ADD...

Oh look, is that a flying monkey? No, it's a flying ape! Who cares about it.

LOL

Sorry to hear that.

And the flock of flying turtles is a joke that comes from a great comedy.

Oh, I've gotten over it. But thanks--it's nice to hear someone who cares. :)

YES! We are going to get a snow storm this weekend. Gotta love 12-18 inches of snow and I have to go to work tomorrow. At least it will be somewhat quiet at work but that would probably mean that I won't be able to get my car out of the parking lot after I'm done. YES! I love walking home in a snow storm.

the snow storm did in fact take place! my only complaint: it happened on a friday so no school will be cancelled. i think the last snow day for nyc public schools was two years ago.... ah well. i still had fun today (although it caused me to miss something important in cantr. my first character is now in mortal danger. curses.) well, i hope this weather keeps up. snow is always nice.
DOOM!

Yeah, you got the snow before us but that screws us up here because that means now there is an added bonus of ocean moisture which means more snow. I love 22+ inches of snow. And it isn't even winter yet! I remember the two big snow storms last year. The one on Christmas and then the one of New Years Day.

And there was an Octobor storm about 15 years ago. The funny part about this one is that no one predicted it and that is was a freak event and it happened only in my county. It dropped about 2 feet of wet heavy snow, knocked out power, knocked down trees (this was early Octobor and the leaves really even hadn't changed colors yet) and created a mess that took like two weeks to clean up. And since no one predicted it then no one here was prepared for it so according to my parents, a lot of people got screwed for about two weeks. The ironic part about this that it was an isolated weather event and only happened in that county. It rained everywhere else.

Don't rub it in, Pirate Lass, my sister lives in Oceanside!! LOL

And just because she has MS she gets to move to California because the weather's better for her....*angry grumble*

Just kidding. I mean, she did move because of that reason, but I'm not mad. :D

If the snowstorm had happened a day earlier, I probably would have missed the last day of classes for the semester...and my professors are really anal about attendance >__<

Update on snow storm here;

Now it is 24+ inches and the weather casters have not a clue in the world when it is suppose to end because the heaviest snow is stalled right over the area I live.

Oh yeah....

You know you're screwed when you are at work and people are coming to shop not in cars, SUVs, or trucks but in snow mobiles. Damn Rite Aid for having a policy of not closing during winter storms. I won't be able to get my car out until tomorrow.
