Well, honestly I think that there should be some sort of PMing going on if you are going to kill off someone elses charrie like that. We might each pick 1-2 main characters, those who cannot be killed without a PM....then perhaps there will be incidental others who CAN be killed...though they should have some good reason. And remember -- just because it was written in a letter does not make it true -- there can be sub-plots etc.

Oo, I like your ideas, Genevieve.
We could do the character limit and then have inconsequential roles that may not even have a hand in writing actual letters, but could be involved in a way that they're mentioned in another person's.
For example, with the plot we were just going with, someone could have said something along the lines of:
I'm still in awe over what happened to Robert. I've never seen something like that in all my years as a researcher
This could be carried on as a subplot by other writing similar letters and it could be discovered that this Robert person was in on something and a lot the characters that do have a writing part were witness to fragments than become a whole at the end.
Wait, did that make sense? lol

So..3shy coulda just been like..randomly keeping with writing, proving that letter false/...See I misunderstood. I knew we could make shit up, but I didn't really under-wait...yes I did, because I contradicted wiro's post. Then I forgot.

Yeah, I picked up on the connection to joo's letter. It was incorporated in the reference to the murder. =D
Dudel, I'm not quite sure what you were getting at by saying I didn't read the rules. I didn't claim that you broke any written rules, but I did imply that you had poor etiquette. If you were playing that way to prove a point, then... what was the point exactly? That we need more rules? Or that we should have played without you by ignoring the letters from the Secretary of Space Defense?

According to play by post rules this game IN ITSELF doesn't have etiquette as you may state ANYTHING as fact about another players character. That was my point, that in order for this to work you need "like minded people" to play.
Which is why LoveCrafts stuff works so well. XD
Sorry I made you feel dumb 3shy.. or was that me being dumb? O.o
Don't think I picked up on joo's post being referenced at all, but okay. That would also make my point, saying that the two characters were lovers or whatever without the consent of the other player.
So why is it any worse that I just killed someone off... ESPECIALLY when y'all could later, with another letter, say "oh the lies!" (Which is what I was gonna do before Russel ended everything *sad face*)
