I dont' have a f'''''g sharpening block!
A mallet? Now I'll gotta find a mallet? *grimace*
For making the stupid block
And a f''''''g carving knife to make the f''''''g mallet
This game is all crooked
I'll gotta go find some fucking iron for the f'''g carving knife to make the f'''''g mallet and I just gave my last bit of iron in exchange for a piece of leather for the stupid hilt
Ilona Hyvaettinen: Why the f''k do you need a mallet to make a block of stone?
Ilona Hyvaettinen: To knock on the chisel, right..
Ilona Hyvaettinen: But you don't need a f''''g mallet in any other chiseled project

I hate when someone tells you to do something, and you dol it five minutes later and are waiting for a response (like being let out of jail after three plus years) but they logged off after they told you!

Yeah, I was wondering the stone table thing, since I saw one outdoors and I was like, that wasn't here the last time. And to think my character had to build a stone table in an abbandoned building, all the while in fear of the owner coming back, in order to crush his hematite. (This is a different character than whom I was ranting about yesterday.)
But to continue with the ranting, it's so exhaustingly hard to get a sword on your own. Sure it's supposed to be hard but it just pisses me off, things used to be so much easier back in the old days, and people have loads of sabres in the back rooms which they give to NEWSPAWNS in exchange for their loyalty. But if you happen to be too old and arogant to humble yourself to serve beside snotty newspawns, most likely under a captain who's thirty years younger than you, all you can do is found a smithy shop. In a region famous for it's limitations towards weaponry. So basicly you're working underground and can't explain to anyone what you're doing, since that might lead into being arrested or at least the authorities taking away all the products of your hard work. So for one lousy sword, you must gather hematite on the mountains, build your own longboat for transport, travel several towns away to get limestone, come back only to notice coal gathering is restricted by Stone Knights, even though they're way out of their territory (well, nowadays it seems they rule the whole region from Seatown to Longinazy, maybe a bit exaggerated alright), so you must go get coal from another location, which is not by the sea so you must walk two long roads to get there. *deep breath*
So there you have enough coal to last for years. But once you go back, you hear your buddies have worked out a deal with the Stone Knights (yuck) and now have enough coal of their own. But you're low on limestone, fun. Enough limestone to make a well calculated amount of steel and iron for all your needs, counted almost to a gram. A work bench, an anvil, a set hammer, a peen hammer, a sledgehammer (which now takes steel, thanks to yourself blurting out that they used to do that back in the history, imagining that it wouldn't harm your own characters since everyone has old stone sledgehammers), a flatter, luckily you had a chisel already, so you end up with 20 grams extra iron.
Then you realize that you don't have leather for the hilt, you should've thought of that before. So you trade your iron for the leather. I forgot to mention running around the forest hunting for a pair of bellows to make the steel, didn't I? Anyway, once you're done with the hilt, you realize you can't make the blade because you don't have a sharpening block because you don't have a mallet because you don't have a carving knife because you don't have any iron left.
So what's left to do now, is to admit to yourself you had to go get limestone in some point anyway, so might as well do it now, sailing around the cape in a terribly slow longboat. You should build a sloop, but you just happen to be the clumsiest wood collector in history. You have a younger buddy in the forest whom you left there to gather wood, but what you don't know is that he has given up waiting long ago and joined with some gang of thugs and ex-pirates, telling them he was abbandoned by his captain. So if you ever run into them again, you're likely to get attacked with sabres and crossbows. And with all the time and trouble it takes to get a sword, this might just happen before you're properly armed, and you'll end up hitting them back with a fearsome APACHE THROWING STAR you were given out of PITY since you couldn't afford a sabre.
...Luckily the avengers are known to be clumsy in fighting, so you might just take them out. But how nice it will be to notice that a boy you considered almost a son has ushered them against you. Being alone in the wold, unable to trust anyone, thinking finally I've found someone... only to notice the someone has been lying about his past.
OOC knowledge is fun, eh?
And revealing this could only hurt myself, but once again I trust people not to use the knowledge against my character, as I won't use mine against theirs.

My brother has a girlfriend with some neurological problem. When she falls asleep, she don't wake up properly but is a bit confused. Sometimes she passes out on the bed. Now she's vanished, again, and my brother had to go searching for her and my parents are worried. She's refused to go see a doctor.
Edit: Nevermind, he found her already. But that girl's not full-headed I say.

not really a rant, though it may have been a few cantr decades ago for me... lol
soem of my chars that settle and industrialise, as in have thier own industrial capacity but live somewhere that doesn't have iron traders, and has no machines to make it. abslutly hate making a primitive smelting furnace just to make the iron for a proper smelting furnace, they hate the ugly thing sitting there, as a matter of fact they hate it so much they would make a little shack just for the primitive smelter just to make enough iron for a decent smelter in thier main building so they never have to look at it again
actually i had a character who was in a town but didn't want to trade for iron but was allowed to make a primitive smelter in some borrowed building so he could make the iron to make a decent smelter in his own building. so he was happy, however, i still have chars with the problem lol

I realized that your own character history can be seen by clicking the change button on the main players page. That's real neat.

Notice how weak and petty we are / In the grand fixture we come afar / Hey we can't help it / No denying the prerequisite for love / Your very existence / You're the source of my substenance / Slow down take your time and feel the / Flow

That's cool!

Rant of the day: why would anyone ever make a car without cup holders?
