We don't really want to start a religious debate in this topic, there's already a separate topic about it that has been going on for like a dozen pages...

All Christians are rapists and cannibals!

(It was a common practice for crusaders to slaughter every child and man in a city, cook and eat them, and then rape the women before doing the same to them.)

Just to make sure; I am not serious about this, just joking.

Why that?
- Every person lost in war is two too many.
- Respect comes from two sides and must be earned. Nobody has the right to it because of a title, sex, age, race or birth.
- What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
- I believe in True Love, do you?

Thought: I've just finished 1984, I feel like shit. How do you end a story like that? God damn. I've also realized it's been almost 6 months since I broke up with my last girlfriend. Today is crap.

Well, read 100 Years of Solitude, that'll make you happy about your life and really, really confused about everything else.
Or, if you just wanna go with the happy, read some Anita Blake. Murder and mayhem always make me happier, and the books always end on a good note, usually with sex.

I adore that book! I re-read it a few months ago and it makes me happy.

Now I feel like digging out my copy of The House of the Spirits. It makes me happy, too.

You all are just too happy in these last posts...

I know! It's great innit? That bit about the blood running about the street? Awesome.
Anita Blake, though, makes me feel all warm in my tummies. Is my favorite, and would highly suggest it.
Some of my other top (and more well known) books include LoTR and Hamlet, which I LURRRVE like an awkward teen loves hannah montana and that other vile filth whose name I can't even say I hate them so much.
Anyway, I love reading!

I read Anita Blake when I want some fluff to occupy my mind for a while. I enjoy the series well enough, but I can rant for a long time on all the ANNOYING INCONSISTENCIES (like getting Damian's age wrong for a whole book? COME ON!). People tell me I'm weird for thinking something with that much blood and gore is fluffy.

On a related note, I don't like Micah. At all. I don't know what it is, but I just don't like him. And I've been a Jean Claude fangirl from the very beginning.

Well, twas explained, because he's so dreadfully powerless for being so old. It seems her 'guessing at age' power seems to deal with the determining the amount of power the vamp has too.

You can die in a fire.
Micah--gods I love Micah. Like, more than I loved my last boyfriend love him. The only one I like better is Nathaniel. They're just so--perfect. And amazing. Nathaniel would be like, my best friend and big brother and secret crush, and Micah would be the one I'd...just....ahhhh! Just thinking about him gives me the shudders. He's so perfect in every goddamn way it's almost creepy.

Now, Jean-Claude I've always loved, but then there's that thing with Asher, and he's an incubus so of course he's kind of a slut, like Anita, but the difference is he enjoys it, and he's too---just too mysterious, ya know? Like he could be his own protagonist, notsomuch Anita's antagonist. And the way the world is falling into place around her, she needs to be more at ease with them all, and that means she needs to let down more barriers between her and Jean-Claude. Mostly her fault, yes, but I can see why she's wary.

Ohh, and don't even get me started on Richard, that prick. Have you read at least Harlequin?
