yes sadly I have a lot of free time. In fact that is the thired time that has happend to me. I am new to Cantr as well. I've never been really good at time managment though. I'm getting better. The char that was taking all that time is slowly evening out. About an hour of play on an 'active' day. A few minute on a travel day or when I'm in a desolet area.

Not to mention my sleep cycle teends to intefere with Cantr time alot. I dont get my 200minute untill 2pm my time. If I get on at noon or somthing I eithor have to wait cause I used a lot yesterday or I end up with somewhere along the lines of 35minutes.

:? wow that's impressive, cus I only have 6 charies and I rarely use less than 100min. It makes me kinda afraid to have more, but then again most of them are very active in thier communities... or who ever else's comunities they wonder into... however since I got a couple of them started on nice long building projects, and one of them locked-up (and possibly forgoten), I've had a much easier time not running out of minutes, yet somehow I'm already down to ~60 left tonight... better save them for monring

What have found is the biggest drain in minutes is the one minute delay (on average) beteen each person's dialogue in an active conversation.
Person: Akamada doesnt control the animals.
You see a wild boar attack Person.
Person: I still dont believe you.

Recipe of the Day
Veggie-mushroom-cheese Pie

Base
2.5 dl flour (I used rye and graham about half and half)
vague amount of butter (Web says 150 but now that I thin of it, I must've used less than 50 and it turned out just fine)
1 dl water
2 tsp baking powder
a dash of herbal salt

Filling
1 onion, chopped
1 carrot, shredded
1 potato, shredded
some zucchini, shredded (more than of the carrot and tater)
2 cloves of garlic
oil for frying
abt 100 g canned mushrooms
cheese, shredded
2 eggs
seasoning (I used general barbeque mixture and lemon pepper)

Tools needed (in order of appearance):
one or two mixing bowls
a grater
a baking pan (I used a china one)
a peeling knife
a cutting-board
a good knife for chopping
a frying pan
a spatula for stirring (wood preferred, steel can damage teflon surfaces)
a fork or other mixing tool
a timer

Oven temperature 200 C, good to warm up before the last possible moment but I did notice it doesn’t take that long to heat up.

For the base, mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, then add butter (it’s easier to handle when it has warmed in room temperature for a bit), squeeze it with thy bare hands and get all messy, then add water and mix some more. It should result in a nice dough. You can put some shredded cheese there too but I didn’t notice it much.

Get a baking pan (preferably before messing your hands totally), butter it up, get some flour to stick to the buttered walls so that the pie won’t get stuck, then put in the dough, in little bits spread evenly around the bottom, then pat them flat to create a nice even surface. Some should go up the walls too.

For the filling, peeling and shredding the veggies before starting to fry them might help to avoid burning anything or using excessive amounts of oil. But if you think you’re so slick, might as well put in the onions and shred the other stuff in order of hardness, which is carrot, potato and zucchini, just like the list says. They’re all fried ‘til they’re nice and soft.

Then you put them in a bowl and shred in some cheese, as much as you like, and add the mushrooms. Break in the eggs, making sure they’re not rotten since it would totally suck to ruin the other stuff with such a silly thing, and mix.

Pour the veggie and egg stuff into the baking pan on top of the dough, and even it out with a fork or what ever tool you happen to have in hand. Shredding some more cheese on top might make it look better, but that’s optional.

Put in the oven for 40 minutes. It shouldn’t burn but best to check on it every once in a while. When it’s ready, it’s going to be a bit brown on top and smells like food. There’s enough for 8 pieces but if the eaters are hogs then just four or five. (I had a quarter for lunch and it was tasty.)

(Based on various recepies found on Google and improvised on what was found in the fridge.)

The only reason it takes that much time is the char's journal. Its time consuming but like now my char is travling so there is nothing to document unless I make somthing up. Hmmmmm? I wonder.

yeah, my locked up charie has an... interesting journal. It wish I could see how people will respond to it when he finally dies :?: ... especially would like to know if the local authorities will try to hide it from the public. And I see have 5 min left... I need 300min.

Yeah the journal is the chars inner thoughts. How you RP in your journal is more important than your chars actuall words sometimes. It expresses the chars dreams, thoughts, desires, plans, and anything evil you want to hide form the public.

Like your char I presume being locked up can cause someone to loose their mind. And a journal will really show that. Great job!

If you type journal entries in wordpad first, then copy and paste them into your characters journal, it needn't waste many of your minutes.

Seko, lovely recipe, but how is that a rant? You've confused me.

Oh, it's not a rant. It's just a recipe. The title says thought or rant of the day. Well... I suppose a recipe ain't a thought, but it's something of a day. Besides I didnt' feel like putting up a new topic for such a small thing.
