Doesn't really belong in this thread, but did you do a search on youtube or myspace? I wouldn't trust someone's opinion unless you know their tastes in music mirror your own if you're looking at buying concert tickets. Try to find some of their music to listen to for yourself first.

Personally, I like them, Zanthos.

Sonata Arctica used to be fantastic, unfortunately their most recent album falls far, far short of their abilities. They've changed the way they play slightly, and kicked out thieir talented guitarist (so i've heard recently).
Yeah they'll play a lot of old stuff at the show, and it'll probably be worth going as they have so many great songs, but it's not going to be quite the same without Jani.

um back on topic cuz i debunked it >.>
i listened to some Sonata Arctica >.>
then, uumm, some of Smashing Pumpkins, some Dragonforce, a little bit of the pixies, bright eyes to get my crybaby emo fix, then some vivaldi for background with my homework.
i need some good deathmetal to put me to sleep though. dragonforce just doesnt give me the lullaby like it used to.

SUCHY's started a cantr group on last.fm, which is not unlike this thread really except it'll generate a radio stream with enough people, so join up.
