They had 2 top 10's in the US, not one.
Final Countdown - Number 8 in US BB 1987
Carrie - Number 3 in US BB 1987

They had more success elsewhere in the world.

Q Lazzaus - Goodbye Horses
Steve Jablonsky - The Autobots Descend
Kronos Quartet - Requiem for a Dream Theme

Especially the 2nd one is great...

Manowar - An American Trilogy
This wasn't today but yesterday, but anyway, it's such a cool song. Manowar does everything with style.

I agree, BA.

Right now I'm listening to Missae Papae Marcelli, from G.P. Palestrina, performed by the Choir of Westminster Abbey.

Now I see the point of a thread like this. I didn't know Rodrigo y Gabriela and they're good. Thanks, Hermi!

David Ford - I'm determined to spread this guy! He's very acoustic-y in style, and an absolutely brilliant lyric writer, so try his music if you like that sort of thing

One of my favorite songs by him - Don't care what you call me - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ybt26QmzZ6U

And another - Cheer up - although live so the sound quality isn't as good.

Also try state of the union, another great song
