What did Nick do to get banned from the game?

All those maps are freely avaialble on the yahoo group listed and the photobucket.. so how on the planet is fair thet they are avaiable basically to anyone who has been around long enough to know that you all cheated when the game was young.

First, i say jos should go to yaho and tell them to take those off the photobucket now, and tell yahoo to give a warning to all who posted maps of cantr, saying that it would be breaking copywrite... or somthing, to do that. I think it is breaking copywrite, isn't it?

And also, make it so that nobody on the PD or the g... what was it called? Gab, or something? whatever. make it so that they cant veiw things in the same town as one of there carries. And if they know different languages, than have them look at the language that they don't(IF they don't) have any carictars in. Otherwise... just make it so that they cant look at the same town. And then you will still have to have the PD, or whatever, look continuasly at the GAB...(whatever) carictars. Yes, even yours Jos. for jos CANNOT BE TRUSTED!!!

They are not copyright of Jos or cantr because they weren't drawn by him or the game...

PD should be non players, pure and simple. But then who would do that, and noone is immune from external influence..

I agree a lot of people cheat, what annoys me most is the double standard. I had a member of PD challenge me for mentioning Mary Williams as a newspawn, when there was a note about her on the fucking ground... meanwhile I know other people have comitted really serious stuff and got away with it, apparently because of who they know. Or who they didn't know or whatever other bollocks.. This game favours the old players. they use bugs and workarounds to their personal gain then get shirty about other people. They use OOC information, insisting on anonymity on forum but not on the numerous networks of PMs, YM and MSN messages flying around.

And these kind of people have the cheek to tell me this kind of thing is none of my business.

Well here is the news: It's none of my busines now!

To those who play for fun, can discuss anything OOC without allowing it to screw up the actual game, for those who can roleplay without having a tantrum if their characters are thwarted.. I salute you and wish you well... (most of them wont bre reading this mind)

Well, I sent Phalynx an annoyed PM after he killed off yet another character I knew, and he said it was because of the some old abandoned, spam-filled yahoo group and pointed me to this thread.

I didn't realize he was quitting completely...and I still don't think he's quitting completely. Like Seko said, how many times does this make? I'm sure this is just a temporary tantrum and he'll be back and complaining again before long, at least until next time. (And yes I'm probably not beign tactful here, but I think it's ridiculous that he apparently expects the staff to to be corrupt because they're not capable of hacking into Yahoo and shutting them down, and I am sick of the way he goes through perfectly good chars like Kleenex without a thought to the effect it has on other players and chars...I know from now on if I know a char is his I'll never take them seriously or expect them to live more than a month.)

Anyway, enough complaining, because about the original topic, I agree! Let's make all the reports and CRBs the PD gets public! Who cares about privacy! And Phalynx, since you're all for it, they should post the complaints and logs that got sent in about your chars first, right? (Who was that guy in Djorf Hills North again? ...no, not Alfonso, the other one. The complete sicko. )

Seriously though, I wish I could talk about what got Nick banned in more detail, because I read the thread about some of the things he did and it made me really angry. (Actually I get that feeling when I read most threads about cheaters, but at least their cheating is usually on a smaller scale and they don't start swearing at the people who caught them and accusing them of being corrupt.)

I think I started playing right about the time he stopped, so I never met any of his chars, but I'll take people's word for it that they were RPed well. Still, again like Seko said, that doesn't give you a free pass to get together OOC with your little buddies and ruin the game for other people.

I believe it was well proven that Nick cheated in seveal areas of Cantr with several chars. Just because his defense was total denial and lies doesn't make him right. He was very immature and very affected by substance abuse (IMO).

He was fun to fight with but I think the PD made the right decision and I agree that it is Nick's right to reveal or not reveal the details.

For those who don't know, which would be anyone not in the PD it was for RPing explicit sex in a room while another player was there (as far as I can remember)

It's my understanding that lots of people saw those notes when you had Alfonso commit suicide too. (And okay, I figured you'd be embarrassed by that one because of the awful RP but apparently not, Still, the part I read had some pretty awful RP, you really shouldn't emote what other people's chars reactions are to yours, especially when you come over and try to rape them. )

Oh and just because my righteous indignation and decision to delete my account is aided by a lot of alcohol, it doesn't make it wrong, and it doesn't mean I'm coming back...

You know, if you could back up even one of the accusations you've made here or anywhere else in this thread with actual proof I might take your arguments a lot more seriously. Right now though it just seems like you're just wanting some attention and doing this because it's cool to be cynical and make dumb, generalized statements like 'there's a double standard' or 'old players use bugs and workarounds to their personal gain'.

So, I'm curious about when you formed this psychic connection to all the old players, not to mention all the people who got away with things 'just because of who they know'.

And yes, AngelSpice, we now have wells in Cantr. Now we just need to get those uses for water.....oh yeah! Mud. Mixing mud. We need to implement a furniture object called a wrestling pit and fill it with mud and two women in their twenties wearing nothing worth mentioning.

Then we can toss in a man in his thirties and recreate the mud wrestling bar scene from Stripes! John Candy = Funny Canadian. Too bad more cool Canadians can't post on the forum more often.
