He's not half as bad as Cheney, in my opinion.

I disagree with you... I think he's just stupid, not that he's being honest with his people and telling them what he wants and is clear with his plans and all of that bullshit..

But I do agree that all they care about is oil.

And I disagree with you. I wouldn't try to claim that he's the smartest tool in the shed, but I don't think he's stupid. Nor do I think he's just trying to get oil.

I think he took a thorn out of our side. True, there's still a war going on, but it will end, God willing.

It was well known that Zarqawi was in Baghdad being treated for wounds he got in Afganistan. It was also known Hussein had WMD.

He was taken out of power.

I don't get the sense that Iran or Syria is next. But, Iran is pushing the buttons of the entire world.

To Coramon: What's wrong with me, is that I don't follow the masses like a sheep. I stand up for what I believe is right and so does President Bush. I also don't hide behind lies to be pleasing to people. If I think something is worth fighting for, I stand up for it.

I've verbalized where I stand many times. All you've done is throw around insults. Aren't you intelligent enough to lodge a real argument? That's what I usually find with people that throw insults around.

As a reminder, there have been many times throughout history that the common percepetions or most popular beliefs were proven to be wrong.

Slavery and predudice in America before the Civil Rights movement is a perfect example. White men were hanged for trying to do the right thing. They were called stupid and arrogant and ignorant. But they stood their ground to free a people and empower a people that no one else thought were worthy to free. People believed in keeping the status quo for peaces sake. Well, I for one think the least popular path was the best path in that case, and I think it is in THIS case too.

Any Iraqi man, woman or child deserves to live in a democracy as much as you, me or anyone else. Two Thousand plus American lives are a sacrifice, but someday you will see, mark my words, that will be known as the right thing.

I do wonder if the country is ready for a woman president.

Secondly, I'll actually be able to cast a vote in the next election. :)

I wonder too. I think it depends on the woman. I would vote for the right woman...if it is the right person.

His last job before politics was.... *drum roll* CEO of an OIL COMPANY. Of course he founded it because nobody would hire him as a CEO.

I don't want a women president. I want a black president. (NOT AL SHARPTON THOUGH).

Condi Rice it is!

EDIT: I'm not voicing my opinion here, just putting a compromise out there. I prefer to wait until there are candidates chosen before I start electing my president.

Ok Stan. You want an intelligent argument? You got one. Bush fights the war on terrorism right? He fought in Afghanistan and that was good. We really helped the people there. Not everything Bush does is bad.

Bush knowingly acted on false reports from the UN inspectors. He wanted to go into Iraq. And you say that the needle in our side is removed? How old are you Bear? I just want you to know that every single innocent person killed, their children will fight us, and their children if we kill them, and their children if we kill them. And do you remember the Freedom Fighters? What we are dealing with now is the "Freedom Fighters: The Second Generation." If you had read as many books as I had, you would realize that people don't forgive. If an islamic terrorist came over and killed your most loved person what would you do? That is the way the rest of the world feels about us. Again you realize that we ARE NOT freeing the Iraqi people. As long as the US has any power Iraqi's will not be treated fairly

This is actually very similair to the event that took place in India. Brit's come in, and feed their people propaganda of how "Oh, We are helping people, and now they are united. Bla bla bla."

As for this quote I've no idea what you're talking about.

They never hung white people for trying to do the right thing! What are you talking about. You gatta hit the history books buddy.

I agree with you 100% here.

However do you really think that we had to go to war to do this? Can anybody that lives in texas see the alternatives? We could have EASILY helped Iraqi's. But honestly, we haven't helped enough. All we've done so far is REBUILD what we destroyed. Or the Suicide Bombers did. The Iraq war was fought so poorly. We let Saddam's army go home WITH THEIR WEAPONS. Then we didn't guard the weapons shed and wondered, "Duh. whered all the wepons go doc dick?"

The soldier's in Iraq don't believe in the war. WE DIDN'T EVEN GIVE THEM BODY ARMOR. My cousin went to Iraq and she was inches away from death at the hand of a 12 YEAR OLD SUICIDE BOMBER. 12!!!! The children already hate us, as well as the people. This is a very bleak time for America.[/quote]

I'm not even sure how to deal with all the inaccuracies. Let me address a few of your questions first.

I'm 35. I have no idea how many books you've read.

To address a couple inaccuracies:

1. I'm Stan not Bear.

2. White people were hanged by KKK and other racists and others for being supportive of blacks.

3. Bush had the same intelligence on WMD as the rest of the world. I don't believe he lied. First off, we know they were there. Hussein killed people with them and he never accounted for what was left. Secondly, we have to assume they were destroyed to even say he was wrong. There was always suspicion that they had been moved. This week someone from Hussein's regime described how they were moved and where they were taken. You cannot, in good conscience, ignore that evidence. Even though you may want to.

I can't make heads or tails of the rest of your argument, probably because it's getting late.

Stan your 35, by the time your 50, there will be 20 year old people who want to kill us for killing their parents. Secondly you didn't address hardly any of the issues I brought up. Thankyou for clarifying the KKK thing. But the whole thing is a rather shitty example. There have been martyrs all through history. eg. suicide bombers. They died for what they believed. They are heroes right Stan?

I'm not trying to convince you. You asked my why I liked Bush. I'm simply giving you some of my reasons.

I've talked through this issue several times. Search old posts. And I was dimissing your post. It was simply too late for me to understand what you were saying. I've been travelling for several days and I'm beat.
