You do know that many Americans don't exactly find it nice when you paint us all as a bunch of genocidal maniacs who are out to kill every other country on the planet, either. Yes I know you don't use those exact words, but that's the impression I'm getting. So don't go on about how offended people get just because someone happens to love their country.

Although, I suppose I don't really help anyone's perceptions of Americans, what with my overall hatred of humanity in general and total lack of emotions (sometimes, I can be a complete emokid at times)...but I'm abnormal. :P

I just ignore it...and laugh at the fact that it's the European powers that put the US on the track that it's on now which started with WWI, so making this whole argument pointless, in a sense, Europe created the US that we know today.

Well, one could argue that most of us are transplanted Europeans but where does that leave the transplanted Asians, Africans, and already here Native Americans (or also known as American Indians).

If not for WWI, who knows, we might still be adhering to nonintervention and we'd be far more powerful because of it--no more wasting our resources on pointless foreign wars. "Let the dictators kill their people, just keep them out of our hair."

I don't have fusion and fission mixed up right? Just want to make sure.

Actually fission power experiments allowed for nukes.

Not all fission is bad. There are breeder reactors that produce less high ractioactive waste. Unfortunately what they breed is stuff that can be used for energy or weapons. Hence breeder reactors frowned upon or illegal. So the choice between pollution and security is made in favor of security and pollution.

It is estimated that a working fussion would produce 1 to 10 gigawatts minimum with a similar amount of energy required to start it if stopped. This sounds great but there is no dimmer switch as with oil, and fission. Currently power output can be moved up and down gradually as needed and requires small amount of wattage to start.

For the silliness at the beginning of the article I belive that the 100th episode of South Park summed it up the best. The founding fathers episiode.

Our country is based on fighting for liberty and free speech.
Which means we can go to war and protest ourselves going to war at the same time.
It is a country founded on saying one thing and doing another.

A great espisode.

As for the EU complaining. You would complain if our goverment did nothing. You would complain if out goverment did anything. And all the while shipping and selling the most irresponisible items to known unstable and hostile groups to line your pockets.

In other words don't complain about how bad it smells if you were the one that got the toliet clogged in the first place.

Orion, you make yourself look just as closedminded as we look to you from the way I just saw you post. You are no better and you are no different.
From the way you speak you would be honored if your country came over here and killed innocent lives such as myself because you did not like our Gov. isnt that exactly what you are bitchin about us doing, yet you would do the same to us from the way you talk...
Even though I may not agree with this war myself I do have great respect for the soldiers from any country that have gone over there to fight for their country. These soldeirs is why America is so strong, Americans is why America is so strong. Yes our Gov. makes mistakes but we stand by our country not our poloticians, and Bush will be voted out I think.
Do not damn a country because of its leaders Orion..myself and many others I talk to our against the war and the cost of it..and I mean lives not money...but we stand tall and proud for our men and women over there serving their country and answering the call of duty. Sometimes you have to stand with your Gov. even though you do not agree because divided we fall as the saying goes. That does not mean that we do not voice our opinon, we do, but we do not revolt against our Gov. we just wait for election time. You Think all of America is blind Orion well I am sorry to say it is you my freind. There is alot of anti war propaganda over here, alot of anti Bush, and I mean alot, I see those things every day even in my own newspaper in the opinion section..Everyday.
So What Im getting at Orion is do not bash a Nation you do not live in and do not fully understand, I do not bash yours nor do I have any hate twords you or yours, just saddnes and embarassment for your closed minded hatred and discrimination.

Also we have many troops in Afgan right now on a misssion to find Bin ladin, and I thank god we our a strong nation and have great weapons so that we can find this crazy bastard and be rid of him.
I know some of you are going to say "well if it wasnt for america he would not be attacking people" Well I dont beleive that, He would atack any nation that did not beleive in his ideas. OUr fault or not though we need to get rid of him. The world needs to quit pointing fingers and get rid of him together.
Never hold your farts in. They travel up
your spine, into your brain, and that's where you get shitty ideas from.
