This thread reminds me I should try the game again - I've not played it for over a month or so - Whilst the graphics are excellent , to be honest I've found many of the quests very repetative and at the end of the day a bit boring - after the 7th or 8th or so Gate to Oblivion has been closed there is such a strong sense of Deja Vu . The same applies to many of the subquests . I've never played any of the other Morrowind /Elder Scrolls games so can't compare it with them, but generally I feel that for all the great looks ultimately it's nowhere as gripping as say Baldurs Gate .

Yes the Oblivion gates do get very reptitive, I wish they were more creative with thier Oblivion lay-outs at very least... and some of the subquests where vanilla, but a lot were pretty fun and well inpsired like a lot of the eallier dark-brotherhood missions, and also some of the thieves guild ones, I don't care too much for the mages-guild quests though which is a shame b/c they make you have to become a high ranking memeber to do all the customs spells and enchantments. Most of the funest quests are ussally either found at the deadra shries, like the one where you have to create the omins of the apocolipse, or go into that mages tower who traped himself in a nightmare, or from random people like the one where you have to go into that artist's painting... damn now I want to go play some Oblivion and my little brother's comuter that it's on is over 100 miles away

Well so far the game hasn't gotten boring but I have taken breaks because I get mad. I am part of the Dark Brotherhood and I became a Vampire. But I can't seem to find the Thieves Guild yet. And I really really hate it when your best weapon breaks in the middle of a big battle.

Sorry to say Nosajimiki but I have found it myself. I was in jail for a 1000 septim bounty. I have no idea how I got that, I didn't do anything bad from what I can remember. After I got out (none of my good skills got lowered
) I got a note and it lead me to the Thieves Guild.

Last I heard they were remaking part of it, it was almost finished when Black Isle disbanded, but that means old technology. Not heard much news recently on it. I've tried searching for stuff on a few sites with no news. (I really want that game to be better than Fallout: Brotherhood of the Bawls Cash-in).

Man, Baldur's Gate kicks ass! Lucky for me a compilation has been released consisting of both BG 1 and 2 and the mission packs for each. I like the way that if you do something, such as kill someone, it's not necessarily the wrong thing to do. Admittedly i haven't got very far yet and i get killed rather a lot, but it's still fun.
