Am I the only one who had indifferent parents who didn't give a flying fuck what I did, who I was with or where?

I mean, I've been there with them (and everyone else in my family) always comparing me to cousins, or whatever, about how they are so much better for list of reasons here, but soon as I told them all to screw off and stopped caring, I was left alone to do whatever I wanted.

Nah I butted heads with my parents a lot, and they were uber into everything I did. Eventually though, we learned the art of compromise and actually managed good relationships, where everyone's needs were being met.

Kinda like Queenie said, one day it just sort of happens and its better.

EDIT: And they still do obsess over me, and call me all the time, and try to give all this advice and ideas about what they think I should be doing. But they've learned to understand that I'm going to do it my way, and if I make mistakes, so be it, its learning. And I've learned to actually listen to their advice, or at least store it and use parts of it in my decisions.

Thought of the day: generating photorealistic terrain maps with correctly calculated climate zones, river systems etc is FAR too much fun. I like playing god.

Which leads me to that wonderful sample from Second Coming, used so deftly by Orbital in 'You Lot':

Christopher Eccleston wrote:You are becoming Gods. There's a new master of creation, and it's you! Unraveled DNA, and at the same time you're cultivating bacteria strong enough to kill every living thing! Do you think you are ready for that much power? You lot? You lot?

Cheeky bastards. You're running around science like kids with guns, creating a new world, while the world you've got is stinking, but, hands up, hands up anyone who thinks you've got it right. Yeah, there's always one. I can see you. If you want the position of God then take the responsibility.

I do believe my poor little truck is getting ready to die

But on a side note about Chase's thought, playing God is too much trouble lol.

Man, things were so bad with my mom she called the cops on me--several times. We broke things, got into physical fights, I mean the works.
Believe me, I've been through the wringer. She went so far as to lie to get me put in a mental institution.
Now, though? We're cool. I'm not sure exactly what happened or what change that made our relationship better, but man I'm tellin you--hang in there. It really sucks, yeah, but if you can get through it the stronger you'll be.
Sorry I've no better advice for you Wiro, but PM me if you need to talk, ok?

Thanks. And wow, I don't even have it that bad, I guess. My parents don't complain about the things I do, it's more about the things I don't do. The only time she ever really complained about what I did, was when I drank half a bottle of this alcoholic drink, but that wasn't because of the fact I drank it, but because my dad and mom wanted some as well. Oh, and when I wanted to dye my hair, which strangely isn't allowed while she is okay with tattoos and piercings that she can't see. :S And about straightening my hair, she stopped now though, luckily. Other than that not really. Just "blahblahblah does this and that better than you" ._.

I'll manage somehow, but still, it's pissing me off lots.

Now that you mention it, I vaguely recall my parents commenting on things I should or shouldn't do. However, it is a vague memory, like advice from a drunk carpenter I met on a beach. I don't take anyone's opinion of me personally, because all that affects my actions is my own opinion of them (ergo, "my actions"). That includes parents. In the end, just do whatever you think is right, and since some people won't dig it sometimes, take their feedback as worthless for a while, 'til they come around. This doesn't have to be something that even registers in your mental log of the day's events.

First thing we need to know about our parents is they are all crazy:)They were normal people once then we came to world and all lost their minds:)I am accepting my parents like kids and not caring their bad ways so much. The more we grow they are getting more childish i know. They need our care.I hardly recommend to see movie "In To The Wild".

I think I'd like to curl up in ball in a dark hole and just..chill....

...Moving the rest of my shit on the 28th/29th...fighting with the stepdad because zel has to come up here till I find her a home, and he seems to think that you can lock a kitten in a carrier all day. Fuck that. She'll be in the basement, with room to run around. Deal with it... Why do I have the feeling this is just gonna create more bitching from him to me....arrrgg

On a brighter note, a family member is celebrating her year sobriety on the 28th, so I can at least relax a little.

Two thoughts.

Things with my mom are fine for now. She apparently talked with my aunt (I overheard another conversation) who told her that her husband's sister as well as one of her children is exactly the same, and now she FINALLY accepted that part of me.

And I wish I would've known smoking was so damn good before. lol

I broke my bewbs. >.<
I went down to Myrtle Beach (my old hometown) for the baby shower and all, as I have said, this past weekend.
I went out into the sun for the first time in like, a year, while I was there, obviously, to go to the beach. I got drunk, turned my iPod up high, and passed out. I forgot to flip. Now, my bathing suit is such that my boobs can get plenty of sun between them. I am a very pale, caucasian, whiter than white person--I swear I've vampire in my family tree. I. Was. Fried.
The whole weekend I was in pain--but I could move.
I get home, and the peeling starts--YAY! It's my favorite part. Well, apparently I peeled too early, and now my cleavage area looks like the Nevada desert, and it really hurts. I have to keep a wet washcloth on it at all time, which severely decreases mobility. Also it hurts. Alot.
Okay I'm done rambling about my boobs, but really, it sucks and I look like I've got harlequin-type ichthyosis between my boobs. :[

YES! I like people with all-the-same color skin. Maybe that makes me racist, but I say 'fuck you' to those who think that. All pale skin, all tan, or all dark is good.
