Why do people always think that nature wants the weak to die? They just do. The fact that an apple falls to the ground doesn't mean that someone wants it to fall down.

That is true. The purpose (even though it does not have a purpose, since it was not designed) of evolution is to change the state of nature -- at one point in human evolution, we relied on physical traits for survival more than intelligence, but since our intelligence and thus the capability to cure illnesses, etc, came from natural selection, it would go against our very nature not to use it to survive. On the contrary, it is true that if people with non-fatal illnesses were just left to die, or even better, exposed at birth, then the number of people suffering from them in the next generations would be reduced significantly.

Of course, the mutations that caused those genes to be manifest in the first place could easily happen again since they happened before, and people could still be carrying reccessive genes which stay in generations for hundreds of years.

So in cases like this, I think it's best to do what our brains instinctively tell us to do, as the mind was created in the same process as the rest of the body (inb4 creationist shitstorm)...

RANT: I can't feel. I can't decide. I feel like a fecking zombie. I want to feel and I want to know what I want. I don't want to be considerate, let me listen to my own needs for a change. I get so frustrated I could puke.

Crappy New Year everyone.

My rant.... after partying hard we turned on the telly about 11.30pm expecting EPIC COUNTDOWN and maybe fireworks, what did we get? 30 minutes of miscellaneous music videos (from 'man down under' to titney spears) followed by joke countdown (hah just kidding ... what?!), ad break, then a 5 second slot showing "Happy new years" text with images of balloons, followed by the most bizarre movie I've ever started watching.... "don't stop the music" oh so 70's and gay. The other channels had nothing related to NYE.

Weirdest NYE ever!

I worked, came home, and sat there watching the live in times square crap while they played MOSTLY shitty bands...and then hillary and bill clinton of all people pressed the button to make the ball drop. And half the time before that you couldnt hear the live reports over the freaking Jonas Bros. fan girls -.-;

I was asleep... but I got woken up by sudden fireworks at what I assume was midnight, and was half-asleep for maybe an hour after that, then went back to sleep. My family was having a party, but I didn't really care...

We still don't have a digi box so no TV this year. It's alright. Yesterday we were visiting a couple of people and when it was time to go home, we noticed that the car back door is refusing to stay shut. So I had to hold on to it all the way home and dad was snappy at mom because he wanted to fix it somehow and she just wanted to go home fast. Then I got to be on the computer because it was New Year's Eve (usually I have to go at 10:15 PM) so I played KoL and chatted with Josh and in KoL I found an octopus's shovel and a couple of people were having minimum meat sales so I got some good (consumable) stuff cheap.

@ Wiro: Sorry dude, but the Bible is pretty anti-homo...

Leviticus 18:22 - You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.

Leviticus 20:13 - If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their blood guiltiness is upon them.

Romans 1:26-27 - For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

I Corinthians 6:9 (NIV) - Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

I Timothy 1:8-11 (NASB) - "But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted."
