Ah that's fine if you want to make generalisations and not understand a genre fully.

I just don't see any talent in talking quickly.

IMO it's better to have a talented vocalist SINGING about mystical lands and experiences than having a bloke rapping and saying that this world sucks.

It is actually pretty hard to speak really fast. Unfortunately, the few that can, I can't really understand. And so no, there's not a whole lot of talent in that aspect of rap. Hopefully it at least has a good beat. Too bad that can happen in a regular song.

So can good lyrics. And most hip hop/rap artists have crap lyrics, that rhyme with the same one syllable word for double digit lines.

That being said - I enjoy a few of Tupac's and Kanye West's songs. A few. And that one song by Eminem... the 8 mile one was cool.

In regards to the rap issue, it's basicly the same as any other genre, got some good artists and some bad ones... It just so happens to have a larger % of bad artists than most genres... and most of the good ones are dead (theoretically or otherwise) :cry:

let's see 3 songs... hard to pick cus it's mid-night over here and I've had a pair of headphones on almost all day, damn professors not giveing enough homework to keep me entertained.

Anyway, for making me happy I'd say:
Better Than Me - Hinder <- reminds me of that special girl

One Tin Soilder - The Original Caste <- song my mother used to sing a lot when I was young
Out There - Hunchback of Notredam sound track <- has some really good alteration in the first half.
