20 years old. I'm a girl. Currently in Joutseno, Finland. Yes I'm originally from Kotka but now only going there on weekends and next semester probably living in a totally new town so I ain't writing a town in my profile location box anymore. Besides no one knows anything about Finland's geography, including me.

Carlisle? The place with all the flooding? Hehe... unlucky

And I live in Sussex in the holidays... now that is south. Sheffield isn't really south. It is midway between Edinburgh and Sussex. So more midlands than anything. ANd it's only just in Yorkshire...

And Finland... hmm, that got Helsinki, right? That's the extent of my knowledge of Finland.

Yes, the place with the floods, but I live on a hill. We're still getting intermittent power cuts because of it (main substation for the *whole city* got flooded, not to mention all the underground cables that got soaked).

But no, Surly, Sheffield is definitely south! Even my Maltby born and bred husband agrees with that now he's moved up here and seen just how far north the north extends. (Maltby being a small town about half way between Sheffield and Doncaster)

Everything I know about Finland, however, I learnt from a Monty Python song.

Finland, Finland, Finland.
The country where I want to be,
Pony trekking or camping,
Or just watching TV.
Finland, Finland, Finland,
It's the country for me.

You're so near to Russia,
So far from Japan.
Quite a long way from Cairo,
Lots of miles from Vietnam...

:D

And speaking as a proper southerner (born in Kent, lived in London and Sussex) Sheffield is most definitely north :P
