Oh man....

It is not Star Wars.

The movie is being made after a tv show called FireFly, in the show the name of the starship the cast is on is called Serenity.

Rkl can fill you in more about the show whenever he is on. :lol:

It's a reference to that "other" space movie coming out this year. Star Wars III. Ever heard of it?

Because obviously in that movie it's not a secret that Anakin goes evil.

Whereas there's nobody named Anakin in Firefly.

Make sense?

Serenity is the name of the ship that the nine main characters travel in. The show was called "Firefly" after the class of the ship because the ship looked like a firefly and had some cool effects that resemble one. One of the main characters named the ship Serenity after buying it. That main character, Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds, had been on the losing side of a galatic war and with his war comrade and first mate, Zoe, put together a small crew that becomes a small family and travel as far out as they can to get away from the Anglo-Sino Alliance (the side that won the galatic war) and not so far where they can't survive. It is believed Mal named the ship Serenity as rememberance of the battle that his side lost at a place called Serenity Valley where he also fought until surrendering to the Alliance. Mal and Zoe fought for a group called the Independents or called the "Browncoats" due to the long brown trench coats they wore. The name of the ship also has other significance because it represents everything each crew member is looking for but haven't realized yet that they have found it aboard the ship. As the message states, this coming Tuesday it will be available on www.serenitymovie.com (Universal Studios official Serenity site) or at www.quicktime.com (Apple's site where you can find movie trailers). And soon after it'll be shown in the theaters. Wouldn't it be great if they showed before Star Wars III.

Oh, and the joke is that how can Star Wars be so great if we know the whole plot ie. Anakin becomes Darth Vader. :wink:
