Why not move ?

It's a pain but if you move to a smaller bank (or a building society) then you geenrally get better service. hell look around the web, someone _must_ have a 'rank your bank' site up covering your local banks.

Scarlett.

p.s. Myself and the Wife move from Barcleys and Lloyyds some time back and we ain't regreting it at all.

Try a credit union

Postby Just A Bill » Sun Jan 23, 2005 12:24 am

You might consider joining a Credit Union. I have never had an account at an actual bank. I have lived in 3 places and in each there was a credit union available for me to join. My understanding is that they are no profit. I think it changes the attitude somewhat. I have never had a problem with my credit union.

Not that I am against anybody making a profit, Its just that as with many other things small banks get bought by bigger banks. Then impose more rules and change the focus to strictly making money so they raise fees.
