Some states may have been commonwealths at one time or still may think they are but they actually aren't under the Federal Government.

Mexico isn't a state either...it calls itself a "republic" or something like that. Silly states. I'm glad to know that all of those CANADIAN history classes paid off.

Ummm....Mexico isn't part of These United States of America, Mitch. Last time I knew, Mexico was its own nation. :wink:

Everytime I se the word Mexico I think of New Mexico.

Mexico means "New Spain" so New Mexico is like "New new Spain".

yeah man i think mitch meant new mexico, you never know.. he could have thought mexico was apart of us.

Canadian history classes? In the US? And what did the teach you? I bet you don't even know what our national sport is?

I believe the national sport of Canada is Curling.

oh my, someone actually got it right.

Hockey is one of the more popular sports in Canada, but curling has been around longer.....I think Hocky was just invented because guys wanted to beable to hit each other :lol:

Actually that is wrong......Canada's national sport is lacrose. It was named the national sport in the 1800's.

Well I looked up "Canada's national sport" and I found lacrose. I didn't check any other sites so I am not sure if they have changed it since than.

I actually did the same, i got hockey, curling, and lacross. But the guys canadian i think he would know. O_o

Okay I just called my friend Jerry, A real big sports buff and I didn't even know this. But Canada has two national sports. One for winter and one for summer. Curling is the winter National sport and Lacross is the National Summer sport. It's got to do with the 6 months of winter we get here :lol: :lol: Although this isn't the right thread, I must say this for Spider
