I listen to lots of stuff, with an emphasis on Jrock/visual kei and various types of metal. I tend to avoid rap and American 'nu-metal' artists though. Just check out my livejournal if you want to see what I've been listening to:

As for me....I like it all.

for instance...right now i'm listening to NIN, Disturbed, Godsmack, 3 doors down, linkin park. but, those are just in my CD player At the moment.

I also like lil' john....and missy elliot is kick ass.

Sara Mclauchlan is very cool, as well as evanesence and maybe throw in a little floyd? a bit of the beatles...and maybe some zepplin... I'd even go for some Audioslave or system of a down....

and ya know...for the more..intimate moments in my life.....foo fighters....NIN closer, lil'john and the eastside boyz-suga suga, linkin park-somewhere i belong, evanescence-my immortal, journey-open arms...etc....so I like to mix it up...it's all good

I guess you could say i have an open mind to all music...even some classical if i'm in the mood for it. Soul and Jazz can be pretty cool in the right atmosphere too....just gotta have an open mind...and well it helps to have the right person with you too :P
Don't do anything I would'nt do...and if you do, Take Pictures! *winks*

@David: I believe the Moldau was written by Smetana.
I like the Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel, not just classical music.

Lovely singing, Missy. And you said you coudn't hold a tune.

I'm Canadian, and I'd say The Red Green Show is the worst thing we have to offer. *shudders at the tought it*

But we do have some great artists....Neil Young, who did the original Heart of Gold (ya, I now, you've never heard of him Chris *shakes her head* ....sad, so sad.)

......Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tragically Hip, Selene Dyon, Great Big Sea, A Simple Plan, Bif Naked, Shania.....oh, and don't forget Englebert Humperdink lmao. To just name a few. Hey, how about Rush! Oh ya! :D
If you're going through hell...........keep going!

NOOOOOOOO! Your ruining it! You all live in log cabins and go to the possom lodge and say aboot and eh! You are ruining my simplistic stereotypical view of the world  No, I know that isn't true. That is like saying All Americans are cowboys. hehe

The Red Green Show is a perfect represntation of modern life in North America. It just uses very subtle metahpor. Like the episode where an American comapany put an oil pipeline for the possum lodge and the nephew kept hitting his head on it and then the decided to truck the oil instead so the possum lodge was stuck with the pipe. Then they had Harold go down it to test it out as a water slide, and he got stuck and hurt so the main guy tried to get him out by drilling a hole in it and putting oil or something in it as a lubricant.... Some very deep eco-political international commentary going on there. Harold is the unsuspecting Canadian public, and the main guy is the Government trying to help, but messes things up by letting the Americans in the first place to take the oil, then hurts Harold the citizenry even more after its abandoned.

Its a serious critique of the American and Canadian government...

......I am reading way to much into that. People, everything doesn't have to have culturally redeeming qualities to be a good show. lol

Ok, my choise of music:

Nofx (especially Franco unamerican and seperation of church and skate)
The beatles (because i just ripped a cd of my dead, and i liked it :p)
Red hot chili peppers (great :)...)
Reel Big Fish (ska, especially Beer is good ^_^)
Foo Fighters (One By One)
Linkin Park (sometimes, though)

Next to that I like some hardstyle/trance. But alternative/rock/punk/ska are my favorite genres.

But most of the time, i can listen to anything, and if i listen long enough, i might even start to like it :).
