I don't have friends, I haven't sen my relatives for years and we are not close knit at all. In general i do my best to avoid ppl alltogether, since most ppl are selfish, egoistic, hypocrite, backstabbing A-holes anyway.

I I were to be fond of my family or who ever, I wouldn't need an excuse like christmas to see them or have a good time.

Hehe... But serious, I think christmas is a commercial thing, no more then that, we buy and buy and stuff ourselves and we buy off our guilt by making a small donation to the church ore sum homeless bum, just to feel happy and a good person all year long. And everyone talking about being nice to eachother, just to start fighting again as soon as it's over.
Nah, thanx but no thanx. (Am i being a pessimist here)?

Anyway, for those who do like Christmas...
.
.
K... here it comes...

Happy christmas.

(Wow, at least 5 years ago since i last said that, Took sum effoort tho).

And may we never forget that the original idea behind christmas doesnt mean that we have to be nice on christmas only... So, lets be nice to eachother... Always, all year round...[/b]

christmas

Postby Ramsey » Tue Dec 23, 2003 6:58 pm

Well, Xmas means something different for everyone. And I really feel bad for the ones that havent been able to enjoy it. I was lucky and grew up in a very close knit family, where we know that gifts and all that arent what's important. We sit around, enjoy each other because alot of us live so far away that the only time of year we can get time off is for the holidays. We cook, eat, laugh, ride dirt bikes and 4 wheelers through our property, go to church, sing and make idiots of ourselves......

But, all in all.....we have great times, and make lasting memories. And that's what Christmas means to me.

So for all of you,

Merry Christmas, many blessings, and stay safe :D

OH OH...and P.S: Christmas also means mistletoe, excessive drinking, and sitting on laps of the "very cute and sexy" sort.....so ....Christmas gets two thumbs up, a pinkie toe and a whistle!

Christmas Thoughts

Postby 1959 Apache » Wed Dec 24, 2003 6:00 am

Ramsey, if that pic is really you ...... my God, what am I doing living in Pennsylvania?

But I digress.

Christmas is all of the things said in this thread. It is way over commercialized and has lost its focus. The method of celebration is personal to each of us, and none is wrong. I will visit with my family and enjoy the togetherness. We have a "no presents" policy, which removes any commercial aspect. There are also no children there, so it works well.

However you choose to celebrate, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

hmmmm....I have a 1990 New Yorker and its falling apart. I'm waiting for the day when the engine falls out in the middle of the road. The problem is that my parents left the New Yorker in the driveway for about 7 years. Can't complain. I have a car.....well, somewhat of a car.

And Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

hehe... GOPt a 97 Volvo S40 and I don't even have a drivers license.

But agreed, Classic american cars look great. (The not so classic ones are ugly and many new ones actually look just like european cars, only bigger and a LOT heavier).

I would have bought a mustang a couple of years ago (don't know what year, 67-69 i think) if american cars weren't that thirsty. Don't forget that 1 litre costs abt 1.15 Euro here. That'd be 7.95 US$ per gallon.

wow...7.95 a gallon? that's harsh. I think everyone here would be footin' it if that was the case around here. lol.

I wanted to send out a "happy new year" to everyone before it's too late..hehe. I probably wont be here, going to the georgia mountains. Can't wait! 28 ppl all crammed into a log cabin...should be fun hehe.

You guys should be having this discussion with my sister Brenda...her and her husband Chris are fixing up a Transam (or something like that, I don't know, I don't like cars ) and they're fixing up an old motorcycle too. A little strange, if you ask me, but I'm not a tomboyish type like she is. I mean, what would you expect from an aircraft mechanic? LOL
