I wasn't even gonna go with that approach. What you need, my friend, is self-esteem. Before I asked my first girlfriend out, I stood in front of a mirror for two hours and repeated, "You're awesome. You're awesome. You're..." ad nauseum. I had loads of self-esteem after.

Stuff like that ain't so hard. And one of the best things is define what you are really feeling to balance the risks. Most teen 'passions' are quite brief, even if they are 'infinite while they last'. But hell, yeah. She also has a boyfriend so it is not the better idea to declare to her or whatsoever. Jealous people may be everywhere.

As for shaving, I only started to use a real blade when I was 23 (used a electric haircutter before) and there's really not much to be afraid of. Reports about accidental decapitations are largely exaggerated.
