I currently don't really feel like playing any of my characters.

I've been working on my combat system for Otherworld, but I've only worked on the targeting system. It feels like too big a step to move into recording wounds, because the aspects depend on if the weapon is sharp or blunt and if sharp, how sharp and how long is the blade? That would mean I would have to enter the stats into the database, at least for every neolithic item that can be used as a weapon. I don't have the energy for that.

I'm back after 4 years. That should be reason enough for everyone to play more!

I am....

Annoyed that work blocked/firewalled so many "game-related" sites, that seriously is cutting down my Cantr time lately. I used to do a lot of Cantr-ing over breaks and lunch and randomly on my phone while waiting for installs and such to complete... now, I cant.
Hmm, Wait, Can't, grrrr. sounds like CANTR... ERRRRR!

Sorry sleepy chars, I still love you, and try to wake up at home once a day before bed, at least to keep Account active!

Don't you have a mobile phone with its own connection?

Nice, they keep you in a cage down by the docks. That's got to make you feel appreciated.

Going through the first fat flu of the season: melted brain, sudden sweatings, then cold to the bones, ear pain, and my voice sounds hoarse like a crow. While we enjoy a rare summer weather I'm a mess with pockets full of tissues and wondering why do people here talk SO loud, and cough SO much in other people's faces. Something inside tells me that punching someone would make me feel better. Did I mention I'm not a nice ill person? Ten hours more at job and weekend. Uffff... I need it.

So you know those silicone oven mitts that are supposedly better insulated than cloth pot holders?

I burned my hand handling a hot skillet while wearing mine today. Like through the mitt.

Turns out my surgery last month wasn't even supposed to actually fix anything, just giving the doctor a better look and an opportunity to get a better biopsy. So back to square one with no idea what's causing my issues, and a doctor giving me options that he's already tried. Sometimes I really hate the American healthcare system and doctors in general. Partly why I never go unless I absolutely -have- to.

Soo exhausted, started the day in overtime and I'm working tomorrow. Another coworker gone this week (this time for medical reasons) without any warning so we couldn't get a replacement trained. October was supposed to be when things got easier... they haven't. My route is beating projections by 20-40 percent every week which means 20-40 percent more work for me. Yay? Tomorrow I'm covering someone who is on vacation to give my boss a breather since he needs it even more than me, but that means I get to wake up at 1:30 on what I expected to be my weekend. Work, sleep, repeat, work, sleep, repeat. I wish my town had a few more restaurants that weren't fast food. A steady diet breakfast cereal, Burger King and Taco Bell is undoubtedly making the fatigue worse, but cooking a meal is the last thing I want to do after another 13 hour day.

I'm down to one active character I'm keeping up with daily (plus a couple sleepy sailors who only talk once a day or so). I'm leaning more and more towards purging my character list so I can have a couple worthwhile characters instead of a flock of zombies. I just don't see my workload lightening up any time soon.</endrant>

So as of today, my nephew's mother (the one that nearly killed the baby), has been determined by the district attorney to be a danger to the children. They will proceed with charges and she had to sign papers stating she no longer has visitation or parental rights for the time being while this is in court. She is not allowed any contact with them at all. So for the time being while this case is ongoing in the court system they are safe at home with me and my brother.

Certainly made my day today as well when we got the news. I'm at least able to settle and calm a bit now that I know they're safe at least while this court case goes through. I am hoping that it goes well and the judge / jury (not sure how this is all going to go yet) sees what everyone else has now been seeing. But for now they're safe and that has me a little calmer.

Thank you so much everyone for the thoughts and prayers in this ongoing situation. I'll keep you all updated. I know there are several of you that have been asking me how things were going and you've no idea how much my family and I appreciate the thoughts and prayers.

La profesora gave us a word count yesterday for the paper we've been working on since August and is due tomorrow. The word count is 1100.

I cranked out a quarter of the paper today (addressing only one of the four things we were asked to address) and I've already exceeded 1300 words.
