Just an observation, or a thought. In any roleplay, the lack of emotes and just the character talking, seems socially acceptable, while the use of them, overbearing or not, is frowned upon, or had the classic

Last I checked, This was an RPG, or if you will, a society simulator. Even with those, you can't tell how a char is feeling without emotes, because this day and age, everything can be taken offensively, or out of context, myself not excluded. My thought is this: What is the point, of playing an RPG, when you can't capture the reader's imagination, painting a picture in their head and giving them the bubbly feeling inside, the downs of a character who is down on his luck, the anger of the mistreated character who eventually goes beserk, The struggle of a town leader who seems to have trouble holding a town together, the loneliness of a lone trader, chosen to be that way because through life experiences he can afford to trust no one? Even though I haven't really thought of it until now, I think this is one small reason why I don't play much anymore. However, I will volunteer to do emotes in everything I type. So, prepare to be annoyed and have those eyerolls ready, and remember, have a nice day.
