I should've given you my star spawn, never played it . Or maybe my born character. Logged in, saw the ooc message telling me to go to their website and took one look at the twenty pages of instructions on their culture to know it wasn't for me. Some kind of dog, idk.

Today was not the usual Christmas Eve for me.... I spent seven hours in the hospital. This morning I woke up and I was very sick. To the point that my mother was concerned I was having a shunt malfunction function. It's times like this that I'm happy I still live with my mother even though I'm 27. I was so out of it this morning my brother and mom had to help me get dressed. I'm alright now, but last time I was like this nothing was done until i was so sick I couldn't even eat the corner of a saltine cracker. If my shunt is failing then There is a solid chance I'll get sick again, and soon. The only saving grace is that I live in Massachusetts where they have some of the best hospitals in the world. So I'll be fine no matter what happens to me.

I was reminded today just how lucky I am to have a shunt in the first place. I was the first child they ever used a shunt on. I should be thankful. Heck I should consider myself the luckiest person in the world, but instead I find myself to be rather thankless as I think back on all the trials I went through throughout my life. It's actually quite the interesting story. One I don't care to post right now. Me and my brother even debated about writing a book about our lives.

I owe doctor Peter Black my life and instead of being happy about it I'm actually more pissed off that I was born like this. I survived school by being a violent little shit and survived everything else by simply distancing myself from the rest of the world. And no that's not a sob story. I lived with my dad who literally didn't understand much about me or my condition and his girlfriend clearly favored her child over me and my brother. We had many different neighbors move to the house next to us over the years and I never once got along with any of those kids that lived there. I look at my life and ask myself what was the point of being saved just to be abused and bullied all throughout my childhood? There are sad souls out there that have killed themselves for less of a reason. Maybe I enjoy hating life....



EDIT: happy holidays cantr people. Just because I exiled myself from the forums doesn't mean I've forgotten that I have friends here. And to those I don't get along with IC. I like you even more. It's never personal. Cantr just needs conflict sometimes, which you help me provide.

You know, if you stay in a place like that longer than five minutes (espeically during holiday season) you'd likely find out that there are other English speakers there (there have to be for you to spawn there). In fact, with all the abundance of the other language, the few English characters are either sailers, or live there and are desperate for the opportunity to speak their mother tongue. English characters who could act as your translator, your mentor, characters who would be so excited to see you.

If you're the runner, shame on you for not waiting a small amount of time to discover the people who are the reason you got spawned in polish-speaker-central.

okay, let me clarify.

-the post I made was a bit of playful sarcasm, not directed at anyone.

-in fact I was remarking to myself the entire time, that this may be interesting to get into.

- I do not know anything of this "runner" that you speak of.

- And I have stayed in the area longer than five minutes.

Due to this points, I would appreciate if you didn't automatically assume I'm someone else or rather just not willing to at least try, much less with the "shame on you" comment.

Such things make more sense compared to English chars leaving right after spawning even though they have been welcomed by many and fed. Whether his post was serious or just sarcasm I think there are more shameful occasions in the Cantr world.

I think everyone has the right to play as they want to play. The whole 'spawn and run' thing is rather annoying to me as well, but I can understand why it happens, especially if the place the character was spawned in doesn't feel right for what the player wanted for the character.

That being said, everyone also has the right to be annoyed by it, and to express that annoyance when brought up by another post relating to such a topic.

Okay, so I can't remember the last time I felt like a kid at Christmas. (Yeah, I know it was a few weeks ago) My brother and his wife seem to know what it is to get me to smile. After the shitty few months I've had between the loss of my mom in November, and my uncle last week, we weren't all able to spend Christmas together. Work and other family functions stood in the way. So my aunt brought over their gifts for me and my dad and I was told to open the bigger box last. Knowing my brother, I figured something was going to jump out at me. (he can be a jerk sometimes) but no, its this dancing panda toy. You hook it up to anything that plays music and the music will play through the speakers on the toy. The kicker? The panda dances in time with the music. I have not laughed so hard in months it was so freaking adorable. Here's hoping the year gets better!
