I've spent a week feeding my neighbours ghostcat. Fed it every day, shouted it's name ten times a day like a fool. I've never even seen it. Some cats are dicks.

Having kind of a summer love with a very sweet momcat and her two adorable babies. As the same I am feeling sad because we will leave our vacation house like in two weeks and I am not sure what will happen to them later.

I can't , beacause I will be travelling again right after my returning. I am thinking about giving some money and food to one of the regulars around.
This is a healthy and safety place for them.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
I was meant to post this yesterday, but DAYUM! I got my hair dyed yesterday, I've never dyed my hair, and I rarely cut it either. It's long and super thick, like three heads worth of hair, so I was terrified of what would happen. But holy crap, I'm so glad I chose to, I got my hair dyed dark chocolate brown mixed with dark maroon red, so it has the undertones of red and reflects that red colour when the light hits it. It actually looks better/more natural on me than my natural hair colour did. And that's like...wow. I don't know, I'm just super happy about it!
So, moral of the story boys and girls, don't be afraid to try different things! Sometimes it doesn't work, sometimes it works out bloody fantastic!
BUT
Here are some pro tips I learnt about dyeing your hair, if anyone is interested. If not don't bother reading down.
1. Don't go with semi-permanent even if you want it to fade to your original hair colour. It won't go back, it will always have that dyed tint to it. Rather go with permanent, it's not a waste that way. I'm sure your original colour will come back someday, but even with semi-permanent, it's not any time soon. If you're overly attached to your natural hair colour, don't dye your hair. Dyeing your hair also signs you up to having to do it for the rest of your days, if you want to keep it that colour. It will fade over time, and it will need to be redone. So if you don't have the money to have to redye your hair every once in a while, be careful about doing it.
2. Never ever EVER choose something you're not certain will look at least somewhat okay on you. Back in my high school years, I'd see girls going around dyeing their hair blond/bleach blond just because their friends were blond. Don't do it! If you have dark hair naturally, blond is probably going to look terrible on you, you may not have the face for it, and I tell you, the change will warp your entire appearance. It's ghastly when it goes wrong. That was the main reason I was afraid to dye my hair.
3. Another reason not to go from dark to light. Any blond/light dye has BLEACH in it! So if the hairstylist doesn't use a ton of other expensive crap to put in your hair to fix the damage, your hair will come out like straw. Brittle, dry and washed out. My mother has spent most of my life dyeing her hair blond from her natural brown, and she's always miserable when she comes back because she thinks her hair is dry and looks like crap. It looks okay really, but all that bleach has pretty much killed her hair.
4. On the other hand, darker dyes add an entirely different layer to your hair and make them the tiniest bit thicker, since it's not bleaching it, but darkening it. Thus it's less risky to go dark, BUT, if you have pale skin, if you go too bland/dark, you're going to look washed out and sickly. Don't go with a solid colour, add something else to it, an undertone for instance, or highlights.
5. Listen to what the hairstylist says, they're almost always right. If they tell you this colour will look ghastly on you, it most likely will. I wanted to go with just plain old dark chocolate brown, but the stylist pointed out a different brown to me, and promised it would still come out dark. I was skeptical, until I asked if I could add red to it. Turns out she was thinking the same thing. So she came up with this wonderful mix. If I'd gone with just plain old brown, I'd probably have come out looking sickly and awful.
6. Don't chicken out like I almost did...
7. Make sure you are happy with your choice, you're going to be stuck with it for a very, very long time... so even if it makes you look like a pest, nag them as they're working, ask them to dry one strand first to show you what it will look like when it's finished. If you don't like it, then they'll have to either redye your hair or spice it up. They're understanding, I'm sure they wouldn't like their hair screwed over either.
Anyways, rant/guide over.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Had my hair dyed once and only at the request of someone who wanted to try something new. She did a good job and I got a lot of comments about it, all good, but it wasn't really something I found to be all that important and haven't done it since.
Agreed!

Kate Bush's opening concert last Tuesday has left me pretty much speechless. Still not sure what to say about it, but needless to say it was amazing. Back home now after a 10-day vacation in London. Miss it already, such a beautiful city with so many things to do and see.
