This one girl just said something I thought was funny. She said

Guys are always touching each other, but when girls touch each other we are considered lesbians.

Now I have never thought that a girl was a lesbian merely for touching another girl (by the way we are talking casual contact, like shoulders, arms, etc) and the only reason I ever touch guys is to make them feel uncomforatable about the chance that I might be gay. (Kind of a run-on joke to prove if someone is homophobic) But after what she said, I began to wonder if girls worried about being considered a lesbian as much as guys worried about being considered gay. I never saw the street as two-way before.

Seriously though, maybe its cultural but over my way girls can be much more tactile and intimate with each other routinely, I don't think people question thier sexuality normally. Heck its normal for them to go to the toilet in pairs which its the height of suspicion to me .

If a bloke has male freinds that are too close or they are overly huggy then people immediate jump to assumptions and have suspicions.... I think there are more socially acceptable opportunites for girls to erm experiment safely in fact.

Like its anybody's bussiness about your sexuality anyway! If you worry what other people think to much you wouldnt do anything...
