Is it normal for my abs and side muscles to feel tight and "burn" when I try to stretch them? (Like, the same kind of "burn" you get when you've been doing crunches for too long.) (Also, the burn is just in the abs.)

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Okay, ow, my brain.
It is really hard to switch from one character who has a very distinctive way of talking, to another character who just talks normally, when both of them are ones I really like. Especially when I can easily see the second one slipping into the first one's speech patterns a bit if exposed to them.
I keep having to remind myself that Xxxxx (the second one) has never met, isn't even close to the same personality, and has no reason to talk like Xxxxx XxxXxx (the first one). [Names replaced with X's because I don't want to out the two unless someone actually wants to know]

I've got the same thing, but I've got one character who talks 'normally', albeit with an attitude, one who talks incredibly distinctively, one who stutters (got to remember to do that!), and one who slurs her speech, and one who is deliberate yet laconic. Rotating between these gives me a headache.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the character of mine who's very careful with her words and doesn't use contractions (so hard to remember to do that, I keep automatically typing them and having to go back and correct), and the character who's very apologetic, and the character who's obsessed with music.
Although the one who keeps almost-talking like the distinctive one ("the second one" from my quote above) used to be much quieter, I think she's becoming more comfortable with speaking.

Speaking styles was never something I had to worry about with my characters. I've only mixed them up once.
What hurts my brain is emoting style.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
*most people emote like this*
**some emote like this**
*Some like to use complete sentences with proper capitalization and punctuation.*
-some like to put theirs in hyphens-
::I've seen a few emote in colons::
*minimalists only smile*
*There are some people who really like to put a lot of detail into how their character is smiling so that other players can easily visualize it. How the character's lips twitch, then one corner curves upward, then the other one. The lips part slightly to reveal sparkling white, crooked teeth, and they part slightly to allow visual access to the tongue, which pokes out from between the front teeth playfully.*

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Though in the case of punctuation it doesn't seem worth varying between characters. In terms of description though I guess it'd make sense to have different styles, though I don't to be honest.
