I live in the middle of a peninsula, and I don't even live in the biggest city there,or its immediate outskirts. Though it does sometimes seem like Orlando takes up the entire county.

A response to everybody else talking about going here and taking a vacation there and maybe seeing someone on the way.

What's the connection between the two? Knowing where to go when going to you and the peninsula etc.?

Pretty much you have to have the intent to go there. Nobody just "passes through" the Florida peninsula unless they're flying from there to Puerto Rico or driving to Key West (which is, obviously, an island and not really part of the peninsula) or their cruise leaves from there. Also, my town isn't along any really major roads nor does it have any major attractions. It's basically big enough to get a mention on a sign half a mile before the exit. You have to really want to go there to go there.

Who knows, if we all play cantr still in a couple years I might just cruise through the whole of Florida on a motor and come for a cup of coffee

Snow. Lots of snow and windy. I managed to drive home and to park my car, but it will be really interesting tomorrow morning if I can dig it out and go to work. It's kinda stuck.

I have colleagues who spent 3-4 hours getting home from work, and they left early.

Myself, I had no problems at all... Left for work 5.45 am before the storm hit, and left work at 7pm after it had passed, and was at home in 20 minutes.

Even we Dutchies have a pathetic bit of snow today And all around me are happy faces because due to some miracle, there are actually trains that still work. . Too bad my body decided to get sick when arriving in The Hague, so on my way back home now -.-...

Apparently I missed the "crustaceans" part on the ingredients list on the back of my favorite instanoodles. I'm a vegetarian and having consumed dozens of these in the past few weeks makes me sick to my stomach. I haven't made a mistake like this ever before, thought it rant-worthy!
