But why wouldn't it be an avatar then? Be that it's not square shaped and not really edited, but it still holds a meaning to the person using it. Where does the limit go?

Well basicly my avatar is me. Its my Halo2 symbol. Which may be a little lame but its how I play most of my games. Like a Halo grunt.

The grunt is basicly lost without his leader and cant much be left on his own without some direction. If a grunt gets scared he runs and hides, perserving the right to live another day. If you corner a grunt in the corner he even pleads for his life.

My signiture is what I say to those trying to get my attention and not getting it. Infact I say it to my mother quite ofter.
Just because I'm not paying attention doesnt mean you can yell at me.

It means you should talk quieter.
