I know a few people, including myself, use various weapons so I made this thread so we can pass on some tips.
1. The Scabbard of a sword is a weapon too, used to parry apponents blows.
2. Palm strikes cause less damage to the hand than conventional punches.
3. Drawing a Yumi above the head reduces rate of fire but improves technique.
4. Hilt strikes can disable an opponent without spilling blood.

I only target shoot in Archery. I am a bare bow (no sights) finger shooter in archery. People often say that I go near the instinct shooting because I shoot a little faster than I should but I definitely make sure I do my nine steps to a good shooting method. I use to pluck the bowstring when I was younger. It took me awhile to break that habit.

I used to hunt and shoot a bow on a regular basis til I was 18 but then my right eye starting getting real bad and I couldn't see to aim anything anymore so I had to give it all up.
After that I turned more to hand to hand fighting methods and learned how to fight with a knife, but I prefer bare hands when it comes to a real fight (my goal in a fight is to humuliate as much as kick ass and there's no better way to do that then with your bare hands), but my boxing skills are nil, I prefer grabbeling, precision strikes, and joint locks. Between nursing school, yoga, karate, and various other sources I've become very well versed in the positions of the pressure points on the human body, but fortunatly (
) I've never had to apply any of it to a real fight.
And remember, no matter how big someone is they'll cry like a baby if you take their knee out, it's the most painful injury you can inflict upon someone.
