And I'm not sure about the cookie thing. I think that has to do with the forum so that everytime you load up a pic such as an avatar it only has to dip into your cookies and pull it up. It saves you loading time and the site or forum bandwidth.
No, it is any firefly pic that loads from one of their sites. The one that is your avatar is one, the browncoat that used to be in your sig was one. These pics are being called from servers that call for cookies. It has nothing to do with the forum.
You misunderstand what a cookie is. A cookie is not a pic, and a pic is not a cookie. A cookie is a small bit of information that the calling server uses for whatever purpose it is set up for. Usually gathering information about hits, but sometimes for other less reputable purposes. Most of the other avatars on this forum are hosted on the Cantr server, and are not asking to place cookies. Occasionally there are users who, like you, call their avatars from other servers which ask for cookies.
