christianity may not be a cult now but in the begining it was a group of people who beleived a living being (ie: christ) was a god or the sun of a god and they all woeshipped him. exactly as you just discribed a cult  where's the diference ?

People can discuss whatever they like on this forum. I completely understood Anthonys story, and it is nothing that hasn't been being said for eons now. Of course religion can be a touchy topic (if you're a believer or non even.)

Has anyone ever realized that the bible has been trasulated over and over again, even from dead languages. There for the meanings can't be taken seriously. I'm christian and I was taught that the bible is only a rough gide line, if you believe in God (which is your choice to do so if you want) you will be shown the way.

As for the Cult thing. Why is it when ever people talk about a cult they think it's a bad thing. Chritianity is based on the teaching of Jesus Christ. Jesus told his desiples to go out and teach others there for christianity was born.

Now back on topic. Gods in Cantr? Why not the game isn't based on any religion there for you can create on for your char to worship. It's your chars god, not yours. You could even base a god on your God and just give him a different name. I mean here you talk about chritianity and speak of God but that's not Gods name, That's what he is...a God. Would anyone here walk on in to a natives tribe in the 1800's and tell them that there gods don't exist? If so I'd like to know if you've ever seen God yourself?

Okay I'm done now

I believe that the Judeo-Christian creation myth is actually somewhat accurate if you take it figuratively instead of literally. Molded us from clay? Well, there's a fair amount of scientific evidence that says that the chain of life started with chemical reactions from non-living matter, and gradually, humans ended up taking their present form. I think it's entirely possible that a god could have given his word to mankind through people, only presented in some way they could comprehend with their limited scientific knowledge.

Anyway. To those people who sya there's only one God: Thery're right... Infact every religion claiming there's only one god is right. Also, every religion claiming there several "one God's" are right, yeah, even those saying that a tree is a kind of deity are right. There's millions of "one Gods" and just as many "gods that don't exist" as well as countless Gods who are a fairitale.

That what I believe in, making me a believer, so yeah, I'm right too. Actually, if someone believes in me, I'd be a God myself... Well, my cat believes in the "great hand that feeds". Yep... Everyday a miracle happens to my cat, the great hands open a great metal can by sheer magic and voila, there was food. So yeah, I'm a God too. Anyone to deny that is a blasphemist and a heretic.

Heh, that's actually true on the Discworld, where gods pop into existence as soon as someone believes in them.

*end tangent*
