An Apology

Postby Phalynx » Wed Jul 26, 2006 10:09 pm

I feel kind of partly responsible for a lot of the grief going on in this forums over the last few days.

I had good reasons for asking the questions I asked, but in my frustration I am sure I said inappropriate things.

I used the forum to try and make a point indirectly because I didn't believe I would be listened too and I think I was right that I wouldn't be listened to, but wrong to use the forum. Other people persued their own agendas as well.

I don't think that I can play the game, and I don't think I should be on the forums. I am not saying this as some sort of appeal for support (although big thanks to those who did PM me).

I am apologising unreservedly for offending anybody, for questioning their integrity and for commenting on the past with limited understanding and information. My style is to contradict and question but in this apparantly consequence free environment I failed to see seriously people take things her and I apologise again for my insensitivity.

I am also posting this in the hope that other people can learn a little from my experience as well:

CRBs are best resolved by emailing players@cantr.net,

I'm not even sure a CRB thread is that usefull, There is a system and its far from perfect but its bettter than a massive shitstorm from overinvolved players..

Enjoy cantr responsibly!

Don't leave the game, Phalanx. You're a good player and most of your points on the forum are relevant and helpful.
I admit I was disappointed with some of the recent stuff, but, as you seem to have learned your lesson, don't go away.

Maybe Surly could lock this thread and delete it after a few days when it's been read??

Having met one of your charries I can confirm in no uncertain terms that you can play the game, and I for one enjoy your presence on the forums. Indeed, while one of the recent threads did maybe get a bit out of hand, there is currently taking place a sort of "generational" thing between older and newer players in the matter of expectations. Fact is, the game used to be played differently and certain achievements attained then seem much more difficult to attain now, if at all. It is good that such matters be aired. Stick around!

Said it before and I'll say it again: Comrade Fran still misses Phalynx! :D

Come on, Phalynx, the Cantr community will have a big hole in it without you.

Cantr should be whole, not hole.
