I've always wondered which part of the earth is in the Eastern Hemisphere and which part is in the Western Hemisphere. With Northern and Southern Hemispheres the equator gives the divding line, and the equator is related to the alignment of the Earth's axis, but I don't see where you can draw a line to divide East from West.

The Prime Meridian divides the earth into eastern and western hemispheres.

I don't know *everything*, just most things.

Still, there is no good reason for it being the Greenwich Meridian, it's just happens to have been chosen, while North and South are based on the Eart's axis, around which the magnetic field flows.
