I don't see how those things make one feel alone.

You want to feel alone go stay or wake up around 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning and take a walk in the black in the wilderness.

I actually enjoy this peace. Other people are probably scared of it.

My friend and I did that once...
We heard at least 4 dogs barking on his property and went for a walk in his woods with a dieing flashlight and two baseball bats because we didn't want whatever was out there to endanger all his livestock (he lives on a farm with chickens, cows, horses...)
At one point it went quiet but then the barking started on all sides of us when we were deep enough.
Sounded like they were no more than 30 feet away but because it was 1am and we had ONE shitty flashlight and hardly any moonlight (the only working one and no extra batteries) we couldn't really tell properly... Almost sounds like a sacary movie.
Needless to say we got the hell out of there.

Need to get your night vision. Don't use a flashlight. It'll blind you more than it will help. Once your night vision sets in you can see right through the dark like it was daylight. The darkness isn't as dark as we have been made to believe or fear.

Umm, I wouldn't say alone but some of them made me feel anxious. Some of them felt like it could have been me. I was wondering how come they're so well done. But if they only accept six every week and several are submitted, they select the ones with the strongest message.

What I meant was that we all have secrets of one kind or another - things we do not and feel we could not tell anybody, ever.

Having these secrets is something we have in common, a situation that may make us feel so alone, but which we all experience.

Anyone with any vague knowledge of therapy knows that writing thgouhts and feelings down can help. Getting rid of them by sending them somewhare, burnging them, ripping them up also helps, as does telling someone, however anonymous they may be.

This site is just one of an excpetionally growing list of websites where people anonymously share stories, secrets, feelings. What made this seem so special to me was the medium.
