Jetzt, versuche ich ein deutscher Charakter spielen. Mein Deutsch ist sicher sehr schlecht. Daß ich bin Amerikaner hilft nicht. Habe ich langen Zeit nicht gestudiert...vor drei Jahren. Bitte vergeben Sie meine Grammatik! Ich versuche!

Ich brauche Übung, und ich möchte lernen. Das Spiel ist sehr gut im moment! Die Leute daß haben mir kennengelernen sind sehr freundlich und hilfreich. Vielen für Geduld. Hilfe und Berichtungen sind willkommen. Kennt jemand einer genau Übersetzer online?

Wer der nicht deutsch als muttersprache hat und einen deutschen char spielt? sowas gibts? Also nicht nur Deutsche die im englischen bereich spielen? Wahnsinn...

Schön das dus versuchst.. gute Übersetzer kenne ich leider auch nicht. Ich weiß nur mit was man es nicht tun sollte (google oO)

I think your level of German is already very good, but I can't yet estimate the amount of vocabulary you know. I'll try to guess the words in my post that you might have to look up and put them in a glossary at the end of the text. A means to encourage you to try to understand the German and see the relation of the words to each other, rather than give up on the text or run it through a translator

Willkommen, Wichita! Es war eine sehr gute Idee von dir, eine deutsche Figur zu erstellen. Die deutsche Region braucht mehr Spieler. Außerdem bin ich sicher, dass Cantr dir beim Deutschlernen helfen wird. Ich benutze Cantr regelmäßig um Englisch, Französisch und Esperanto zu üben und ich habe schon bemerkt, dass es jetzt einige Wörter und Ausdrücke gibt, die ich ohne Cantr nicht wüsste.

Ein Tip: benutze keine maschinellen Übersetzungsprogramme, sondern verlasse dich eher auf Wörterbücher. Selbst ein Anfänger mit nur einem halben Jahr Deutsch beherrscht die Grammatik und Ausdrücke besser als jedes Übersetzungsprogramm. Übersetzungsprogramme haben mehr Wortschatz, aber sie können oft die Wörter nicht richtig anwenden, weil sie den Kontext nicht verstehen.

Deutsch sind auch meine zweitesprache. Ich habe für drei Jahre Deutsch studiert. Jedoch, ich möchte für viel länger studieren. Ich kann nicht in Schule studieren wie ich habe Probleme mit Terminplanung. Ich bin entsetzt wie ich habe bereits so viel vergaß. Na ja, ich spreche Deutsch nie. Nur Cantrians sprechen mit mir auf Deutsch.

It really wasn't that bad. Every single word was understandable and there wasn't anything that made no sense at all although one will recognize that German isn't your native language. Your use of the word "wie" is a bit strange.

But I think it's great that there are at least a few people whose native language isn't German and who play a German Cantr character. If you need any help there'll be several people here willing to help.

Is there another equivalent for "as". I know that "wie" means as. "Als" is also used as an equivalent for "as" isn't it?

There are some more translations of the word "as" like "als" or "so" but the best translation depends on the context - as always .

In the two sentences where you used "wie" I guess it's best not to translate "as" directly but to make a causal sentence of it:

..."weil ich Probleme mit der Terminplanung habe."
..."weil ich bereits so viel vergessen habe."

In the second sentence you could also make a sentence with "dass":
"Ich bin entsetzt, dass ich bereits so viel vergessen habe."
But in the first sentence this wouldn't work.

By the way and out of curiosity... did you really study German three years at a university or did you mean you've been learning German for three years? I ask because "studieren" means in our language usage only studying at a university or university of applied sciences or something like that. Studying German at school or simply in private we wouldn't call "studieren". Regretfully I'm not very informed about school systems in other countries.

Thank you for this clarification. I studied German for 2 years in High School, the equivalent of Gymnasium in Germany, I believe.

Well then we would say "Ich habe 2 Jahre lang Deutsch gelernt"

wichita, Solutions Maximus, habt ihr eure deutschsprachigen Charaktere noch? Kommt ihr zurecht und macht das Spiel euch noch Spaß?

Wäre doch interessant hier noch mal, nach über einem Jahr, nachzuhaken.

Habt ihr eure Charaktere noch? Welche Nicht-Muttersprachler haben noch deutsche Charaktere?

Ich bin zwar noch nicht wirklich weit rumgekommen, aber ich habe schon einige Charaktere mit deutlichem Akzent getroffen. Seid ihr wirklich so viele?

Also ein paar wenigen bin ich auch schon begegnet.
